My take on her not attending the rally is that the atrocities in Gaza are like nothing she (or anyone) has ever seen, and I think she’d be disgusted that in her perspective a handful of white Australian women get people upset but not 10,000 children dying. Not saying I agree with her! But I think Gaza has really shifted a lot of her thinking and beliefs.

Antoinette and Azure were laughing a lot, which was not great. Antoinette said they hadn’t said anything cos they had to sign an NDA and girl needs to get paid. She said she’d do it again but with “caveats” like making sure the audience knew beforehand that it was a prank. She said she underestimated the “passion” of the audience and Azure mocked her followers as being serious and not the kind of people who would get pranks, which was a bit insulting? They also spoke about how women are held to different standards - which is true but I don’t think it’s Antoinette’s place to say it. Not sure if Yumi or Clem have listened to the episode but Yumi did “like” the second reel The Antoinette’s Pod posted about the ep. The comments under the reels show that they didn’t land well with this one.

You'd think Clementine might notice that men never get screamed at to post pictures of dead Gazan babies, they don't get guilt tripped for not doing enough, they're allowed to see whatever musical artists they like without some lunatic telling them they're genocide supporters. I remember Clem saying a little while back that JA was a big part of why she started to like Taylor’s music, like it was a stamp of approval that if JA was a main production dude then she must be ok. just be honest Clem, the real reason you recently “publicly” dropped Taylor is because she no longer serves you. I think she was genuinely obsessed with T Swift and could not and would not accept any criticism of her beloved Taylor because at her core she’s a White Feminist.
Many Women of Colour (not all) have been long critical of Taylor and her own brand of White Feminism but Clem would have none of it and would attack anyone who tried to raise this point with her. I swear Ruby Hamad has experienced exactly this but I’m not sure if I’m confusing it with Clem’s general appropriation of her work with this issue.

Does Clem realise that if us plebs lost income we would be out getting more work?!

No not you, but her posting about it with her reach (and others with large followings) increases awareness. When there is something tangible to be done makes it easier for the followers to act. So definitely not a waste of time or useless or inappropriate imo, but she needs a bit more balance and less aggression.

Have to disagree on that- although no Clem fan, awareness through these platforms is so important. When the time comes that there is something that can be done, someone voted in or out, policy that can be campaigned against that can affect these issues, then the awareness is there, people know what is happening and what it’s all about and are more likely to take action.

I don’t like the guilt tripping and the all consuming rage she has, and think she needs to find a better balance as her message is getting a bit lost which is the opposite of what she’s intending I’m sure.

I’ve been thinking a bit about her defamation case and I think I am intellectually paralysed with fear. I have a feeling Clem would try and push it to trial rather than mediate (cue GoFundMe).

Also, if it goes to trial there is a lot higher likelihood that the outcome will be made public, where as there usually tends to be a bit more confidentiality around mediation negotiation.

Fingers crossed that the magistrate overhearing this case is a woman because I couldn’t think of anything more ironic worse than a man telling those two feckers which way is up.
