Is there going to be another series or is this the last?

I want to see them finish the dam, see the goats come back and eat all the tough stuff / try to escape some more, laugh at Lisa trying to sell new things too cheap, and learn more about the musician bloke and his combination farming techniques. Also always got time for Clarkson failing to sow the field properly and seeing the results months later on! And more cute piggies of course.

A lot more of this series was obviously staged (or enhanced/amplified for the cameras) although some parts like the births (and deaths) of the cute piggies, Clarkson nearly vomiting when he took the mouldy tube off the mushroom fan etc, all seemed highly genuine.

Anyone bought any of the farm stuff from the Amazon Fresh high street shops? All seemed hideously overpriced when I saw it. Unsurprising I suppose.

Saw the other day that they are filming season 4! Absolutely love it. It’s such a good show, a great mix of comedy and actual farming issues.

Whatever Clarkson pays Charlie, it's not enough. He's the unsung hero of this show.

Caleb didn't come across well at all this series. I thought it was mean he didn't tell Clarkson about the harvest when Jeremy enjoys it so much.

Ironic that Clarkson was talking about Alan's heart surgery not knowing he'd be facing similar issues himself not long after.

Pretty sure Charlie is absolutely filthy rich as it is, without Jeremy's help. He doesn't just work for Clarkson's farm, he is the go-to guy for agricultural advice and planning across the whole area.

Has anyone else been on any of the facebook groups about the farm? How thick are some people? I keep seeing people going on about the farm profits, as if Jeremy is pretending *he* only made £140 odd quid profit.

It really irritates me that they think they're seeing something the rest of us aren't by pointing out that he will be being paid a lot from Amazon, and has other high earning sources of income to fall back on.

How can people miss the point so spectacularly? Even if you never watched any of it, and just watched the bit where they talk about the farm profits at the end of the season, its very obvious that he is quoting those figures to highlight the financial position of every other farmer who isn't a famous presenter with lucrative TV deals MORONS.

He even said himself he has other income but like you say he's highlighting what its like for other farmers who dont have a different income.

I absolutely love Calebs character (as in his essence/his being, not that he's not real!) he's so sweet and genuine, he doesn't put it on for the camera - you can clearly see when he tries to (eg pig labour massage which ultimately became a genuine moment!)

It was never more evident with how upset he was with the failed crop "I know it isn't my money" and how defeated he was because he'd put his all into it.

This is what I said too. Watched it with my partner who has worked extensively in hospitality over the years, including opening new venues, and although we were both shocked at the lack of a trial run, I also have a film/tv background and said we didn't know how much had been edited to fit the narrative they wanted to give on the show.

It still give me the absolute fear though seeing the crowds of people waiting for tables and there being no prices on the menu or any electricity! So disorganised. Hospitality trauma never leaves you

Surely the kitchen would have had to have been inspected and signed off before opening? Literally bringing in food as the electricians are moving out is not going to happen.

I just binged all of season 4 that was available so far. It has everything!! Drama, comedy, intrigue, plagues, pestilence and congealed fat.
I sometimes forget how much I like his humour. And also, a hamster.

Ahh thats where I got it wrong, we thought it said 24!!

However, I still think its an expensive car..... for a girl in her 20s?? to be driving!

It's really not. I can't think of anyone in their 20s that I know of who drives round in a car that's worth less than £5k or £6k. Regardless, she comes from a farming background, she's hardly going to be poor. All the farmers I know had relatively flashing 4x4s from the minute they passed their tests.

I love cars, but cannot say I was ever a massive fan of Clarkson on Top Gear.
Or of his paper writings!
No fan of Meghan, but that was way way too much...

However, I am a farmer's daughter and I love how he has shone the light on the plight of farmers. Farmers work soo hard for a pittance.

For this reason, I have become a fan.

When he said he was going to test them with one test, I did assume he was gonna do a drag race.

But he must be learning something. Because when he tried farming on Top Gear, he just resorted to sticking dynamite in the ground and blowing the field up.

And people say Clarkson hasn't progressed or grown

I don't understand the objections. The amount of tourism he must be bringing to the area. People don't travel hours to just go to the farm and then go home. We are looking at going down the area and will go to Diddly Squat. We will stay in a hotel close by and visit the surrounding areas, surely this is good for the area.

Really loved the series... I work on a farm and it really is a true reflection of what goes on sometimes! Planning a trip down to the Cotswolds later in the year so hoping to call in the shop!

What I don't understand with the council and villagers constantly rejecting his plans is that it spectacularly backfires on them.

You can't put the genie back in the bottle. The show is out there and a huge success. People watch the show and turn up at the farm. They are going to do this whether or not there are parking facilities etc. At the weekend JC had to tweet that they were doing their best to open fields etc for cars but the roads were blocked. This must drive the villagers mad.

If they let JC accommodate the cars on his land surely that has to better than visitors just abandoning cars in the lanes?
