Definitely seen another side to Jeremy Clarkson, in that he genuinely cares about the animals etc

I think everyone sees Jeremy Clarkson as the loud, brash, ignorant character version of himself he's portrayed himself as on TG/TGT/his newspaper columns etc.

But when he steps away from that character, he is softer, kinder, and he's not anywhere near as ignorant as people think. He's quite an intelligent man.

Not to say he isn't still flawed and has his issues as a person. But he definitely isn't the full on caricature version he was on top gear

Just binge watched all 3 seasons and I am bereft that it is over! That was so good! Bloody loved it. Why did I not watch it when it came out?

On a more wholesome note, I absolutely adored the Bonfire Night drone show!

Neither do Amazon subtitles - I tried putting them on the other day and it just comes up as 'indistinct speech'. Reminds me of the fella in Hot Fuzz with all the weaponry in his barn.

Its just confusing to see and hear farmers complaining and demonstrating about farming poverty, and then be driving around in expensive cars! It doesnt quite match!

They get shafted by the supermarkets on pricing.

We went last autumn, I don’t remember it being a problem to book but it was mid week and the series wasn’t showing at that point.

The food is very good but the choice is extremely limited because they only do food supplied locally. You’re limited to an hour on the table which is quite punchy tbh but service is very efficient. It was nice but I probably wouldn’t go back.

I went to the farm shop in 2021, I have family in the area and thought I’d go and see what it was like. It was crazy busy but we didn’t have to queue. I did mange to get some Oxford Blue cheese which I loved as a 20 something but it got discontinued. I didn’t really bother buying anything else apart from some of the gin because farm shops are much of a muchness and I’d rather buy locally to where I live. It did make me laugh though, all these boy racers revving their Subarus presumably hoping that JC would come out and talk to them about cars.

Watched the first four episodes tonight. I know this is the reality but I wish that wasn’t the last episode we’d watched for a week

Those poor little piggies I’m sure with the sheep(?) they’d had ultrasounds and all sorts. Seems a big difference that the pigs basically fend for themselves when giving birth.

I absolutely love Calebs character (as in his essence/his being, not that he's not real!) he's so sweet and genuine, he doesn't put it on for the camera - you can clearly see when he tries to (eg pig labour massage which ultimately became a genuine moment!)

It was never more evident with how upset he was with the failed crop "I know it isn't my money" and how defeated he was because he'd put his all into it.

I loved it in the first series when he drove to London with the wasabi and he was terrified. Bless! Don’t worry, Kaleb, even those of us who commute often feel that way.

Have watched clarksons farm from the first series. Love the grand tour when he is with the other too
Got his book in a charity shop last week fir 50p still on amazon for £18.
There is many shows about farming ....country file & on the farm but they don't go into the deep cost of farming .

I know. Clarkson didn't pluck him from thin air. He comes across as a very calm, knowledgeable man. The complete opposite of Clarkson.

Only kidding. Clarkson is no idiot. I noticed Sainsbury's stock Hawstone the other week. I went to get some today to try it and it was all sold out. The power of TV. He also did a thing on social media recently that if you were a pub he liked the look of, you could get a barrel of Hawstone delivered for free. I saw some being delivered to a country, gastro pub near me.

I felt so sorry for that Dairy farmer too, saw online that a viewer set up a go fund me for her, last I saw they'd raised £34,000, she's going to give some of it to the farmers benevolent fund.

It's Clarkson's thing though isn't it, all the jeopardy, disasters and 'what could possibly go wrong' ideas, then the turnaround. It was the same with the farm shop and yet people kept going. Not sure how it's doing now though.

I just binged this and my those two women advising about the pub - what absolute miserable rude cows.

Happy to sign up to take some of his money but then fled the minute they had to work. The one with straight hair had so much Botox her forehead shone, and she was so rude about 'go back into the kitchen'.

They were miserable to watch - thank god they went.

Apart from them, this season made me laugh out loud more than any of the rest. I lived Harriet and hope she comes back. Agree Kaleb needs to get over himself. I wish Lisa would out Jeremy on a diet or he's not long for this world.

Great telly and he's a principled soul doing great things for farming.

I know some of it must be set up slightly, but I love seeing the Farming parts of the show. The pigs are fascinating as is the business of farming and how difficult it is.

Harriet was great fun, but how on earth did she get a brand new range rover to drive away in, when she left, what on earth did that cost ?

I think Kaleb is being set up a lot on the show, as a comedy sidekick, ..... but he must be a pretty decent farmer though, if he has been promoted to being Jeremy's farm manager. When it comes to drilling a field, He knows what he is doing!

Well, it was a '14 plate range rover, so not brand new.
