Episode 4 is so sad. The vet seemed a bit laxy but I suppose what was filmed could have been chopped and changed slightly. Kaleb seemed a bit off this time around I get Jeremy must be a nightmare but his comment about he’d rather put the Christmas lights up with his friends seemed a bit uncalled for.

I couldn’t believe that!! I know it’s a job to them so they do it all the time but crikey, it was a bit much 😂

my eyes were streaming by the end of the episode I found it so sad!

The way they ended the last episode was brutal! Are there only 4 episodes this season?
I love Lisa, she is not afraid getting her hands dirty.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one fuming with that vet. Her comments were so cold. I sobbed. I know it's reality and it's important to see these things but my goodness. Wanted to give Lisa a hug.

Lisa's great, she really shone in these 4 episodes. Kaleb seemed a bit like he didn't want to be there, but (and I might be wrong here) I did think he had his own farm? Or at least his own sheep to look after/other work to do for himself? Maybe he didn't really have time for all these shenanigans, but felt he couldn't let the show down. I haven't read his books and don't much about him so I could be wrong. I am dying to know how much Charlie is being paid to be a part of the show and keep turning up at all these random times and places... Land agents don't come cheap 😆

I wish I could unheard the thing I heard with the baby pig being

eaten

I should have my fingers in the ears.

Put it in a spoiler, as I don't want to upset anyone.

Oh god! Watched the last 2 recent episodes last night! So sad and heartbreaking!

I imagine that being a farm vet is very different to being a pet vet 😬 like I’m sure they all want the best for the animals, but they are ultimately being raised for one purpose, and they don’t have to worry about upsetting an emotional owner. I did feel sad for the pig when Jeremy refused to stay with it 🥺

I think sometimes it’s best for the animal that someone close to them is not there crying as it can stress them out. When I had to have my horse PTS, I couldn’t be with him. He was PTS by gun as he was needle phobic and I didn’t want to stress him as I struggled to maintain composure.

God what an awful situation, that must have been so difficult for you! 😞❤

Thank you all, it was nearly 9 years ago but it is still the hardest thing I’ve had to do. Luckily the guy doing the job was amazing and he took the time to talk to me and settle my horse so he wasn’t anxious at all. He told me I shouldn’t watch it, he doesnt like the owners to see them like that.

So that’s why I don’t blame JC for not being there. They were both upset and it would only cause more stress to the pig. I haven’t watched it but from the clip I saw, she was settled in her little sty (if that’s what these ones are called, but you know what I mean) and it seemed a peaceful end?

The thing is, farming is a business.

It’s clear they both get attached to the animals, who wouldn’t

I was a young farmer back in the day and it’s true, you absolutely get attached to the animals, no matter how hard you try not to!
