Sainsburys have got their Christmas candles on sale. The festive spice one smells divine. Also Emma Bridgewater has released her Christmas collection.

My Christmas Eve box tradition is cheap and cheerful 😂 new christmas pyjamas for the kids, a Christmas cup or mug out of b&m (usually the little milk bottle ones cos my kids are still young) some sweets, popcorn, fluffy socks, and I buy those little make your own snowman or rudolf bags off Etsy to make hot chocolates, and The Elf put the Night Before Christmas book in (litteraly reuse the same book every year but it’s hidden away the rest of the year). Pyjamas and socks are primark and the whole thing costs less than £20 for 2 kids. Christmas Eve is our time as a family so it’s a tradition I love 🤗

If anyone has any pictures of flocked 7ft Christmas trees from previous years I’d really appreciate seeing them. We need a new tree and buying them online is a nightmare, they look totally different in the flesh!

Haha same with my 6yo reminded me very much of myself with the Argos book Back in the day 🤣. My daughters ticked all sorts of rubbish 🥴 even things she’s already got 😅.

That's the kind of thing children remember when they're grown up rather than the "latest" toy.

What’s everyone’s children asked for this year?
My 5 year old wants LOL toys and squishmallows. I noticed Tesco are currently selling squishmallows half price with a Clubcard so I might need to buy them now and hide them 😅

I think I need to keep out of M&S they’ve got all the cute little biscuit tins. I’ll buy them with the best of intentions to give as gifts but I know I’ll know they’re there and start in them.

My husband and I did this last night. We got rid of a decent amount of stuff and yet she still has loads 😅 ours is a January baby too so even more incoming soon. We’ve said we’ll revisit after her birthday.

Yes! I had a mini blitz last weekend but need to have a proper go this weekend. My daughter is 3 the end of this month so have double the new crap to fit. Plus a new baby, so I have to find somewhere to store most of it for him to use when he’s ready.

thats another thing I struggle with. I got rid of everything when my 6 yo out grew because I didn’t think I’d have anymore 🤦🏼‍♀️ Such a stupid mistake because now everything she had as gone up with such a bang can’t quite believe it and I’ve got to buy it all again 😩.

Maybe do small token gifts and a bigger experience gift instead?

Our big Tesco is beginning to have a Christmas aisle as opposed to just a shelf now. I bought some of those Christmas puds and I’m really looking forward to trying them.

Awful how expensive it all is! Now is a good time for buying second hand as everyone is having a clear out. You can put notifications on for fb or vinted for items you’re looking for. Home bargains or b and m do cheap toys too.
