I loved my dads gift, but my sister spoilt the surprise by over hinting it beforehand. He usually buys quite practical, but always electrical gifts, this year a coffee machine. He made up for last year, when he got me a gel nails kit, I despise fashion nails! Let alone ever worn them!
I have an aunt who is an aging hippy. She made threats that everyone was getting her home made, natural soaps this year. Her coconut oil one was excellent, her hemp one left me with bad rashes all over and an irritated meat canoe.
My sister bought me a mug that declared me "Queen bleep". 4 cans of Energy drink and a Tshirt I remembered she had shown me last summer and told me she was sending it back and my old Dear Diary taken down from my dads loft that I'm terrified to read because my family have in jokes about what is in it. Basically a bunch of junk she had compiled together. Yet she expects extravagance in return - oh and can't leave her cats out.
My brother I got the annual, very large Hotel Chocolat hamper. I've got this every year for at least 15 years. I don't like it at all. It's far too rich. I half joked this year that he must get them free, corporately. He looked somewhat irritated, furrowed his brow and snapped the word no at me. I also got my annual Body Shop set (always a less than impressive scent and never my any of my favourites, this year it was Mango - meh!) and my annual Yankee candle, in a Christmas scent. I do not like any sort of Christmas Cinnamon, Mulled or Pine scents either, I find them revolting.
My boyfriends mum (or MIL if you like) dropped off our baby's presents. She said I popped yours in the baby's card. It was a few stray Supermarket rings.
