Can you not do it on Christmas Eve? Or after the previous shift? Your employer should have given you more sets of uniform, unless you only work one day a week
Only 1 set of clothes a year
Wash it when you take it off seems the easiest answer or wear it again without washing it .
I've only got Christmas day off over the whole holidays too
You should have at least 2 tops and a pair of trousers? So just wash it all in advance and rewear the trousers! But if you do only have one top then you shouldn’t be doing a shift right before anyway so just wash it the last day you work before Christmas or ask your employer for more, they legally have to provide you with enough uniform for the shifts you work so they can’t give you 1 top for 5 shifts a week

Well we are allowed Christmas jumpers at the minute but I decided to wear my Christmas dress
Everyone has different circumstances though. Some people may be working Christmas and boxing day is the only chance they have to shop. Some people may be on tight budgets and need to shop sales for gifts next year. You still have the whole of Christmas day off so try to enjoy it.

When I worked in residential care supporting men with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour we worked 24/7 365 days a year on a rota and no one whinged about it. Neither do the essential services that keep the world turning so I think that anyone enjoying a lovely Christmas day with their family should be grateful for everything that they have.

Yeh the last 6 years I've either had to book the day off using a holiday day or work Christmas day. When it was finally not going to fall on my day in work my shifts got changed meaning it then did fall on my day in work again for 3 years

Where or what do you work at & how many shifts per week that permits this meagre allowance ?
I worked 4 shifts a week for sainsbos, online shopping, and got no uniform
