Do you own a pre-lit tree, Tuesdaysdoll? If so, are the lights any good? I do worry about the lights being a bit naff or not lasting longer term.

I don’t, only because I’d heard that once the lights go, or a few go, you pretty much have to replace the whole tree. Though some places do offer light warranty etc. I wish I did though because the thought of untangling lights again this year feels me with dread
I have a pre-lit tree that I’ve had for the last 4/5 years and it’s been brilliant. It was a Homebase one.
Mine is pre lit and its been fine (of course this will be the year it goes wrong now ive said that!), and its done 5 Christmases so far. My Habitat one was great last year, also pre lit though. I was really impressed with how near it was to the B Hill one but for much less cost.

Don’t come for me but I cut mine off my tree every year and buy new ones every year. Don’t really need a new tree but I’m very influenced now to go and look at these Argos/habitat ones.
I had a Homebase tree I bought in a sale for about 30 quid. It was eight foot and lasted 10 years.

I only have my 3 kids to pay for *teens usually have a xbox/ps5 voucher and then extra little bits and bobs, so I dont need to spend loads at christmas.
Once we get past halloween Im going to start on the christmas food bits. Im possible having a new kitchen in october (housing association house) so I want to cull my cupboards so it saves on space when I have to store everything in my living room for a week!

Such a good feeling isn’t it. I don’t do Park, but save in the credit union every month, save my clubcard points and save Christmas savers onto the clubcard too. Also do an envelope for M&S.Got the message my Park savings card is all paid and will be sent out end of month

The problem I have with Christmas chocolate being out now is I’ll religiously buy it in my shopping and swear it’s for Christmas and then proceed to eat it myself, every month 
I do a hamper prize every year. Or should I say I'm delegated to do it, as the year I did it once to help out I somehow ended up doing it permanently....
Only they give me the same amount of money to do it every year. Last year they were surprised they'd given me so much money.
Not sure how much money I'm going to get for it this year.
I was down to shopping at the cheapest supermarkets for it last year. I bought myself a few of the products which were truly vile when I tasted them. The shops have been replacing ingredients which has ruined some products.
So I've decided this year to only buy stuff with decent ingredients and maybe replace some items with a nice cheap decoration from Home Bargains.
So they might not get as much in the hamper but at least it will look and taste nice.

How do you manage to have the tree lights, candles, tv, lamps on at the same time & not feel like you're at Blackpool illuminations.
I'm not coming for you but it is pretty wasteful & costly.
My tree is 8 foot. I need that number of lights to make it look the way I want. They are all on the same plug. Once it starts getting dark my Christmas tree is the only light in my living room. Although I do have other Christmas trees in other rooms and also outdoors. 1500 lights on an 8 foot tree isn’t outrageous?
Yes! I have 2000 on my 7ft tree!
Oh I do hope you both post photos of your trees or parts of, with all those lights.
