I saw this pop up on my youtube feed this morning. I have been reminiscing about the "good old days" lately, haha, so watching nostalgic videos. This feels so comforting to watch and brings back nice memories from when I was a kid.

Made a start on my christmas food stash (y) Food festival on in town and got some after eights fudge which was made friday and has a use within 4 months label on. So im putting that aside til nearer christmas.
I usually get the snacks out when the kids break up from school *18th december this year.

Anyone know where to get some real traditional looking wrapping paper? I’m sick of everything having Toy Story on it or the grinch!
Gosh I so remember when I used to buy single sheets neatly displayed on an A board type structure draped over wooden rods....10p a sheet ❤

Sainsbury’s usually has some good wrapping paper designs (all their Christmas bits are nice!)

My B&M was a big disappointment today - hardly had anything Christmassy but I’m slightly relieved as it does feel too early! Going to lookout for their twinkly lights next time, I’ve officially been influenced by this thread 🙂

If you have a Sostrene Grene nearby their Christmas wrapping is lovely.
Thank you for reminding me Sostrene exists! 😮 They have an online shop too (I remember they didn’t for a while). I bought a loooot of Christmas stuff from them last year!

For those going to look or buy the B&M lights, don’t go for the ‘cluster’ ones. They don’t give as nice an effect and cause big gaps imo.

Thank you! I'll head in there tomorrow ❤

B&M are the best. I’ve tried a lot. But always go back to them, as I like a particular setting on them. It’s a very soft twinkle. Not flashing. I’m sure they are the Everready make. They have lots of different sizes, 1000, 1500 and 2000. You need to get the warm white ones. For seven foot, go for 1500 at least.

Thank you all :) some brilliant ideas about wrapping from different places. Every time I’m in a shop I only tend to see the real garish stuff.
