Going back to the Pringles advent I’ve seen both of these online

Aldi also have their Christmas sandwiches out. I got the Smokey chicken with trimmings toastie on Friday, I’ve had it plenty of other years but Friday night I had an upset tummy. Not sure if it was the sandwich. Will get it again at some point and check, for research purposes 😏

Has anyone gone away for Christmas before? Our plans have changed and we’re wondering whether to go away just the two of us, we’ve always fancied it and it will probably be our last chance before we have kids. I don’t want to go somewhere hot though, I couldn’t imagine a hot Christmas I hate the heat 😂😂 I honestly debated saying duck it and going to New York but don’t know if that even be fun over our dates. We’d likely be away 21st-27th
I've been away a couple of times over Christmas and it's fab not having to lift a finger and someone else doing all the work. One occasion I did go to New York and it was great. We went to see The Rocketts Christmas show at Radio City and it was amazing. The US don't have Boxing Day so everything is open as normal.

I have a new favourite Christmas song .... Fall Out Boy have done a version of 'It Feels Like Christmas' from A Muppets Christmas Carol.

We've got our EXIT escape room advent calendar already and I'm so excited to get it out. I feel like the standard chocolate ones are really expensive this year but I kinda want a Kinder Bueno one, if anyone's seen any good deals?

I picked up my first, of this festive season, sandwich today. Only the smoked salmon one because I couldn't get any of the ones with bacon in for cultural/religious reasons but found these.

Absolutely divine! I may have to commit to the stretchy trousers life but that's fine. This is immense and worth it 🤤🤤🤤

I’ve bought the kinder ones for years and can’t believe the price of them this year. But I’ve still bought them. Can’t believe the price of advent calendars this year. I got them in the food warehouse but they weren’t any cheaper than anywhere else.

If anyone needs it, Disney Store currently have 20% or 25% off spend over £60 on select items - I’ve got a few playsets sitting in my basket for nieces and nephews :)

Is it sad that im excited to check out the Sainsbury’s Christmas food to go bits? 😅 I do love an M&S Christmas sandwich, but when they're more expensive than a whole meal deal, I found myself going to Sainsbury’s for lunch more often last year

In these days of lean, I am more than happy to go for a deal rather than the sandwiches on their own. I'm happy to yellow sticker it but not full-price.

It's really difficult to find good festive food if you have cultural/religious/ethical reasons for not eating pork! It's in everything! As a vegetarian, I empathise XD

The issue was for other people and their adherence but it is surprising how many festive things are ruled out by one item.

Do any of you wish you could just hide away for a while during the winter/xmas period? I was daydreaming of going to stay in a large wood cabin like this:

cozy-winter-cabin-stockcake.jpg

And then spending some weeks leading up to and including xmas hiding away with a couple of dogs for company, a bunch of xmas food, warm clothes, and just spending some time surrounded by nice scenery and nature for a while. There would be a small city or a decent sized town not far so I could commute to and from, both by foot and car to stock up on food, drink and other goods, and just to go see civilisation every few days. Also, ideally I could have a tv in the cabin and I would watch xmas films and shows, and a radio to listen to. Along with reading some books too. Not much to ask is it? haha.

I’m feeling happy because I’ve already got quite a few presents sorted for this year, I’m not usually this organised 🤣. My only problem is buying nice treats to put away for Christmas but they’ve been eaten already 🤣
