Hi Christmas lovers. I thought this may make everyone smile!
I welcomed my second daughter into the world today. I had to go to theatre for 2.5 hours afterwards after a lot of trauma down below and a blood transfusion after 3 litre blood loss. The doctors were absolutely incredible and talked to me about so much to keep my mind off what was happening at the other end of the operating table. I told them I was thinking about Christmas & Christmas songs. The head doctor started singing some Xmas songs to me and then sat down beside me and said hang on, I have a surprise for you. He then put his phone beside my head and started playing a Christmas music playlist on Spotify
. I got to listen to about 10 songs while I was in surgery and all the other members of staff were singing along and talking about whether they’re started their Christmas shopping, what their Christmas traditions are… whether Die Hard was an Xmas film or not.
It was such an amazing experience and even if they thought I was a bit loopy, it was lovely everyone getting excited about Christmas and sharing my excitement.

. When they wheeled me out of theatre, I said goodbye and wished everyone an amazing Christmas. They all said I was so lovely
. X
