I've bought my first mince pies of the year 😅

I went with the Christmas carol-mel mince pies from Sainsbury's which according to the box are "filled with layers of silky smooth spiced caramel sauce topped with spiced caramel mincemeat"

They're either going to be the best things ever, or completely inedible 🤣🤣

Omg 😮 Aldi made some like that a few years ago and they were incredible! They never did them again and I’ve been dreaming of caramel mince pies ever since. Off I go to Sainsburys!

I've booked a Christmas slot with Waitrose, just in case, and almost all their stuff is sold out online. Not even a hint of mince pies or pannetone. Either they've underestimated the amount needed or they're not putting it all up yet.

Has anyone gone away for Christmas before? Our plans have changed and we’re wondering whether to go away just the two of us, we’ve always fancied it and it will probably be our last chance before we have kids. I don’t want to go somewhere hot though, I couldn’t imagine a hot Christmas I hate the heat 😂😂 I honestly debated saying duck it and going to New York but don’t know if that even be fun over our dates. We’d likely be away 21st-27th

We are off on a cruise for Christmas - we love it all catered for and sunshine. This is our second time doing a Christmas cruise and have already booked for 26//27 as well.

I thought a hot Christmas would be awful because I’m so into a traditional chilly cosy Christmas but went to Australia and it was brilliant. No present stress, everyone so chill and the most worried people were was about how quick their ice cream was going to melt! Absolutely loved it.

Well I made my Christmas cake a month ago ...and as usual I'll be congratulating myself on being "ready for Christmas " from now till around the second week in December ..when I'll start panicking...

I went away last year, but only in the UK. My friend and I rented a lodge with a hot tub and just chilled out for a few days. It was really fun and I’d deffo do it again, although it didn’t really feel like Christmas so maybe in a few years

I feel like it must be the latter, surely! That's crazy if they've sold out of all of their Christmas stock already!

I've not seen anything like that personally (it does sound a bit grim, not going to lie 😂) but ask in the M&S thread, someone might be able to help you out!

Which is why my holding order is cat food and bourbon 😂 If I can't change the items for actual Christmas ones, it won't be too devastating and my old lady cat will be fed whilst I'll be very merry indeed.
