We always go on a Christmas Eve walk around a local country park and get a coffee / hot chocolate. Then we come home, have a takeaway or one of our favourite home cooked meals, new pyjamas, Christmas film and all the kiddy things like leaving out milk for Santa and sprinkling reindeer dust. One of my favourite days
Home bargains do small yankee style candles for less than £1
Make up or nail varnish for the ladies
Beard oil for beardy men
Miniature toiletries
Stationary I.e. Nice pen, funny post it notes, small notebook
Chocolate
Scratch card or lottery ticket
Earrings or small jewellery items
Trying to think of other bits I have had over the years as my mum still does me and my sister a stocking
Your list is making me hungry!!!! Sides are the best thing about Christmas dinnerHaha I make the cauliflower cheese and red cabbage the day before and reheat on the day.
The roast potatoes, parsnips, pigs in blankets, turkey, stuffing and Yorkshires go in the oven. The heat gets cranked up to make the roasts really crispy once the turkey comes out to rest
Everything else on the hob.
Just all down to timings. I work back from when we want dinner and go from there
Reading these posts I have now decided that our new tradition will be a Chinese takeaway on Christmas Eve. I also really want to do matching Christmas even pyjamas but my husband said he’ll only do that if we can do naked Christmas Day

I really recommend TK Maxx online for ‘big’ presents for people that are into designer stuff! I can never be bothered with the shop as it’s like a jumble sale, online is so much better.
There’s some right designer bargains, I’ve just got a Vivienne Westwood shirt for my boyfriend for £35! RRP is over £200, I’ve looked on other sites and it is actually listed for £100+, I’m well chuffed!
I really want to treat people this year to things they wouldn’t usually get so I keep checking the site every day for new arrivals.
Who knew that TK Maxx sold Gucci and Balenciaga
also in terms of makeup they have MAC, Too Faced, Nars etc for decent prices.

A good idea is to do themed ones. Chocoholic, candle lovers, clean addicts (zoflora and Fabulossa for all!), That means you've got a way to keep it in line with what they like whilst not getting things they won't use just for the sake of it

A lot of branded perfumes do a set of minis, you can split them up and put 1 in each stocking! I've done jean paul jaultier le male and Marc jacobs daisy before, normally 4 in a box for about £40 so £10 per person

We were supposed to be off to the Caribbean. Obvs not now...
On Christmas Eve we go for a walk either around our estate or the town centre to see the Christmas lights. Then home for homemade pizza and Prosecco (not for the kids obviously).
I do a stocking for the kids and one each for my parents. I am going to treat myself to a Christmas stocking this year. I already know what will go in it: lottery scratch cards, walnuts, chocolate coins, Haribos, an apple, hand lotion, a mini fruitcake, a pair of earrings and perfume. I even have a fireplace with mantle to hang it on.

Depends on the store. If you want to see TK Maxx when it's more tidy. Shop mid Morning. If work week days then shop Saturday about 10/11 am. They would've put the delivery out and store is tidy from the night before. Good to keep friendly with the staff. They will tell you what's been delivered and save you hunting for it. Also helps save the high street. If more people shop in store. I found their website quite bad. We usually do reverse advent calendar for the food bank- we do it in November so we can donate in December- make it last 25 days and the idea is you add an item a day. Not sure if that’s been mentioned already!
This Xmas is exciting as we have a newborn but she won’t be big enough to understand next year will be the one! I may buy a father Xmas suit as this was a tradition when I was growing up- visit from Santa on Christmas Day!
I’ve pre ordered the friends advent calendar on amazon but with being so busy with bub I reckon I’ll forget I’ve ordered it til it turns up
