Nobody asked but I am just watching Chateau DIY. SJ has paid 4000 euros for that wallpaper in the entrance hall. And then she is hanging it herself. I cannot believe the amount of money being spent on just the wallpaper... it is beyond ridiculous. This money would never be recouped on a sale and although fashionable right now, that is going to look dated within 5 years.

Interesting that, in the TV programme, they describe SJ as being an ex or former opera singer. I don't think there has been any evidence that she ever worked as an opera singer. She may only ever have performed on stage as a student. She may like to be described in that way although she has said she didn't go on to have a career in opera as she disliked having to perform. However, in her current life, she performs all the time, loves having an audience and loves to be the star of the show. She sings every time there is a singing workshop and warbles away at any chapel service. She also performs in the local concerts run by Cyril, the pianist. As she really does love to perform, it would suggest that the reason she did not become a professional singer was purely because she did not make the grade. I think she would have loved the adulation; the international travel, and the dressing up. Maybe she was only judged good enough for the chorus or in spear carrying roles! Just think how she has wasted her education: the years at Oxford and the years (?) training as an opera singer, just to end up destroying and "tackifying" (to coin a word!) an old, crumbling chateau; making some videos starring herself; living with a lot of rather pitiable drifters, with a partner half her age, and reliant on the money of strangers to finance her lifestyle. What an achievement!
I suppose opera singer sounds a whole heap more interesting than "vacuous blonde of grandiose ideas, whose working life was a short-lived stint as "dispatcher" for a one-man taxi business in rural Suffolk".

I quite agree M. Parker. The effort they put into negativity and insults is astounding.

@Yo Mat , it is a separate website and I would never post the link because I certainly don't want to pass on such hate-filled sites.
And sensible Jon L speaks up! This dude hasn't changed his tune! The most consistent and sensible CD fan!

3 minutes ago I have never been on that "silly website" and although I don't want to, I feel like I should, because, in my opinion, I should sometimes hear what others think, especially those who disagree with me, without letting them have control over me. They can do what they want, and express what they think, and I will listen if needed, but I also realized being accusative and calling them names makes me no different from them.

Well, with a 4.6 rating out of 5, I'd say not to shabby, to be fair
You have to be careful with Airbnb. If you give a bad review, people are less likely to accept you to their place when you apply to stay there, I have always given great reviews because I have been so lucky - there have been problems, but if you approach people in the right way, they tend to get resolved very fast.

I wonder if the Orient Express trip is off the cards now? Wasn't that meant to be in October?
It is spring 2022 now

Me too. As I read that comment about Amaury's objectification and exploitation, I kept oscillating from full agreement to visions of enjoyment of Amaury's naked torso... Gah! There is definitely a double standard though. Even if he is totally comfortable with it rightnow, I'm sure he would get sick of it and the idea of said grannies ... Yeah. Amaury, it may be time to put the shirt back on, at least no more naked thumbnails. 😂
I enjoyed the joke of Amaury being asked to take his shirt off as click bait. Dan and Steph like Amaury and respect him hugely and would never want to upset him. He sees the joke and they hope we see the irony. He is attractive to look at and takes care of himself and no harm in showing that off, anymore than girls do not parade in bikinis solely to get a tan and swim. I wish I had something worth flaunting for harmless admiration.

Steph;s diary. Monthly trips to London for recreation and to bring the flat up to scratch. Trip on SA to see Mummy. Trip to Venice for Natti's birthday. Trip to The Netherlands to see Philip in his play. Trips with Oliver to get their travel channel going. Trip on the Orient Express with Nick. Trip to Egypt with that chap What'shisname. Doesn't she have an outstanding trip to do with Gerry? Have I forgotten anything - oh yes - renovations at LaLande....

I get it now, why Stephanie has always seemed so comfortable with people doing things for her. In my self-effacing culture, if someone does you a good turn (tea in bed for example), you thank them profusely and do the same for them the next time. Now I know SJ has grown up with an actual slave, sorry, servant, I am looking at her in a different light. I guess Percy and Isabelle have one too. It seems the done thing for whites in SA.🤬🤬🤬
Not stephending. There are people who are simply too busy to do their own domestic chores that they find the need to hire people to do things for them. I grew up in a home that employed domestic help. I had a full-time nanny until I was 11, in addition to three domestic staff and a cook. All four still work for my parents; for over 15 years now. They are treated with respect and receive proper remuneration and benefits. A family hiring domestic staff is no different from a local hotel employing housekeeping or kitchen staff. It is real employment for a lot of people. Also, domestic help is not a South African thing, nor should anyone ever make it a racial thing. Not these days. BTW my former nanny went to night classes at Hunter College and is now runs her own daycare/preschool center.

I don't know how much SJ pays Beatrice, the caretaker. We can only hope she gets paid well for her service and has benefits.

OMG They really have a live-in cleaning lady ? And they cry poverty (remember the first vlog : she needed people's money to put "some food on the table" !!
Yes, an older black lady who lives in a tiny tiny room behind the kitchen. She's been with the Jarvis family forever. Of course the whole poverty-cry-thing is a scam, but even her biggest fans know this. Still, they keep giving. It's madness really.

*** BREAKING NEWS ***

YT Celeb Stephanie Jarvis is Looking for Property ... on the Moon!

YT celeb Stephanie Jarvis, who shot to fame and fortune just months after launching her YT channel, the Shato Diarrhea, announced at a hastily convened press conference this morning that she's teaming up with global entrepreneur Richard Branson to offer accommodation to space tourists. Stephanie, who has still not completed the renovation of her sixteenth-century château sixteen years after she acquired it and despite the fact that she's received hundreds of thousands of euros from her parents and complete strangers, says that she's strapped for cash and is earnestly looking for other income sources. The famous châtelaine, whose favourite word is 'château and who receives a paltry €27,000 from Patreon every month and much less from YT, says she still can't make ends meet: 'Mummy and I are really suffering, especially in the winter, as we can't afford to heat the place. I may have to sell off some of my shoes on Vinted to pay for firewood. I really hope this venture will be successful, it's a wonderful opportunity. I'm absolutely over the moon about this!'

The Jarvis property magnates currently own a château, a house in England, a flat in London, and a beach house in South Africa. Construction work on Château de la Lune is scheduled to commence shortly. Mother and daughter Jarvis are hoping that this new venture will finally put bread on the table and wood in the fireplace ...

I do believe that SJ is gearing up for an online shop. Just in time for Christmas. Andie W. is most likely creating for re-prints and a book. Tatty is modeling the clothing that will be sold and drop shipped (avoiding, purchasing, warehousing, and shipping). Again, they will have Daddy's images for cards, coasters, and wrapping paper and a Lalande calendar. Time will tell.

Now, back to yesterday's flog. Why oh why???

@8:11 from the last CD flog, BJJ has a hot water bottle outside in the garden.
@21:53 he is showing his majolica rooster/cock ewer.

The live chat was dull as dirt. Many were M.I.A., Michael M. missed his shout out. :ROFLMAO:
Brenda ML @Loki Cleveland @Celeste R had them all laughing I thought the tea was spiked
loki clevelandI think so too..Brenda
loki cleveland Philip's face was flushed
Michael Morrison @Helen Stella I did hear a “Michael” from the other room. I was assuming Petherick. Was I mistaken?
M Parker @Philip Janssen out of everything you can't have, I think I weep the most about you not being able to have cheese

The comments are extra funny. The fan's seem to be getting restless with BJJ and are looking for answers.

I know I’m going to be thrashed in the comments but why would you hang those paintings on that exquisite paneling? Don’t get me wrong they are lovely and framed nicely but the paneling speaks for itself and will just look cluttered.

That whole platform was an accident waiting to happen. Thank god Dan (and Selmar-ish) where there to help or god knows what she would have done.
Even when she donned jeans she wore slipper-type shoes, not sneakers. And as for Scotman holding her by her belt and Hash sitting in a window filming.
we only saw the last bit of painting ...i guess the rest was done with ladders up the stairs..also very tacky..have to admit..i have also done some very dangerous paintingjobs in staircases...but since i went down with a ladder a few years ago i am a bit more carefull..the ladder got sliding down under me..and i went down with it..both my arms had not much skin left on them ..it was a very painfull experience...and the last week i had to go up a ladder to clean out the gutters of a cottage...i did it..but when i was standing on the ground i was still shaking..when you once had the feeling that the ladder is going down under you...your never steady on a ladder again...

I was wondering why Teabag kept talking about Starlink as if he was the expert…just thought he was being patronizing again! My favorite part was when he said he could see the little satellites shooting across the sky in a straight line after launch. He can add “astronomical observer” to his vast, impressive resume. Hello, NASA? Do you need a rocket scientist who also has expertise in tea, Spode, oak, and escorts? 😄
