Yup - because she’s so lux and wants everyone to know itLmao the faces, GAH.It’s been pretty well-known that the rising Chanel prices don’t match the quality, but of course Amie will still buy them.
She’s clearly out of ideas so what will she do going forward do you think...... she can only repeat something so many times before people get bored and move on.Within the last week she posted 4 of the same videos which is a tad nuts if you ask me...
How many times have we seen her say a bag is her favourite - only for her to sell it later? I can think of the Chloe Drew, Gucci Marmont, Gucci Disco, Chanel Boy, Chanel Deuville tote off the top of my head. This is a woman who is not super rich who had more than 100 high end bags (she had 79 in a video but she already sold numerous bags at that point). She is crazy. She’s clearly out of ideas so what will she do going forward do you think...... she can only repeat something so many times before people get bored and move on.
I love this channel!I’ve been following this vlogger off and on, and she’s very sensible! What she says is so true (I) shopping all the time is unsustainable unless you’re a Kardashian and (ii) no one really cares about what you wear. Amie could learn a thing or two from this elegant lady.
You’re absolutely right. The design of the house is a nightmare, no sensible person would ever consider buying a house with so many dead spaces. Her vlogs indicated as well that she hadn’t considered how difficult the slopes ceilings were to fit around furnishings etc until she’d moved in so shows zero due diligence pre purchase. Whether it’s the 1st or the 100th house you’ve seen, you don’t give up and settle for any house, the entirety of the house has to work for you. There's another point I'd like to make. I've thought Amie to be some smart and wise investor. But 2 issues stick out that makes me doubt her decision making (besides the endless bags she buys). First, her house is awful as we all know (I think she'll have a hard time selling it - it has awful sloped ceilings and it's a new house!). Secondly, Amie did a youtube video on investment years ago and her investment advice is awful. She recommended a investment firm that was very basic and had horrible reviews online. Amie says she has her investment company invest her money and she doesn't pay much attention to it or something. I really don't think Amie is as smart as she tries to portray.
Social Blade estimates her yearly earnings to be in the range of $3.1K-$49.3K. The amount YT pays varies from channel and category. Nevertheless, most influencers - unless their videos get a ton of views - make most of their income from sponsors/partnerships and affiliate links. If she wants a luxury brand partnership and sponsorship, this is a laughably bad way to go about it. Her channel makes zero business sense and someone can educate me on how YouTube monetisation works because I doubt she earns enough to justify 10k pounds purchases every week.
Now that you mention it... has she ever mentioned anything about her dad/father figure in her life?Ladies I haven’t watched Amie since the new house but I’m here to put my 2 cents in for the Korea blog and her life story:
Her mom is Korean, the dad is not in the picture - fine so mom was a big influence. She once mentioned how she grow up not well off, that once they even had to go to a second hand shop to buy basics because they had nothing. Then she also said that the reason her and Dan don’t travel is because she lived in like 5 different countries when a child??? Hmmm strange that this hasn’t been brought up more but ok. So she was both poor and also an expat child. Maybe the dad did something and they were suddenly left without money.
no she hasn’t. don’t know if he’s not in the picture, or if he passed away. it’s not anyone’s business really- but whatever the case, clearly her (Korean) mum was a major influence in her life. and she seems to spend alot of time with her and is clearly very close to her- which is why I found it so offensive how she (over)reacted to Korean things, as if it’s super foreign to her.Now that you mention it... has she ever mentioned anything about her dad/father figure in her life?
it’s also very obvious (she even mentions it!) that her “style inspiration” is not derived from cultural interests (eg. art, film, a particular designer, costume period or cultural movement) - it’s literally as if she stalks (faux) rich instagram girls and her favourite retailers and buys 4 iterations from the same pic she’s currently obsessing overI forgot to mention something I noticed which for me delegitimise her brand of being a fashion YouTuber is how much she let her husband sway her purchase decisions and style. Not saying partners shouldn't care what you wear and has no opinions but she literally based her wedding dress on how Dan wanted it, not to mention other purchases that she returned because he didn't like it. If you base your living around making fashion videos, you should be confident in your personal style. Dan doesn't seem to care a lot for clothing and fashion, so why is his opinion superced her's, who is an supposed expert.
Yes the affiliated links is what earns Chase Amie the money, which is what she wants. But she is taking a short-term and narrow view of her channel. If she wants to build interest in her life and her channel and build subscribers, she needs to do more than just luxury bags. She needs to do things like travel, eating out, fun things, or even mundane things like house cleaning and such, to build rapport with the audience. Right now, people see through her ruse and are put off by her endless consumerism. Also I bet she's making a killing from affiliate links. If someone clicks on one of her links and makes a purchase, she gets a % of that sale. Usually it's 1-10% of the purchase. It's why she makes so many repetitive sale videos. She wants viewers to click on the links and make a purchase. Her website is almost exclusively sale round ups too. AFAIK she gets a cut if someone buy anything on the site after clicking on the link, it doesn't even have to be the specific product.
Agree it’s up to the individual what they spend their money on, but to spend so much on bags and have little left for anything else is surely not how one should live. Surviving on meagre meals and cutting down on nice to haves for a few months in order to afford your FIRST ever Chanel bag is something we can perhaps relate to, but why is it so important to have so many Chanel bags and yet not have enough to furnish your house properly which is where you spend most of your time? The need to portray a lux life has just gone too far and I don’t believe people can relate to that or want that. I’m confused about what her channel is about. Is it about acquiring an infinite number of lux bags in pursuit of happiness?People can spend how they want to spend their money and there are probably some things each one of us spend on that other would consider frivolous. The problematic aspect, I think everyone touched on is that she posits herself as a luxury and lifestyle YouTuber that provides knowledge and insights so her viewers can make the best possible decision when it comes to luxury purchases. But all she does is buy the bag saying she love it, and then selling it a few weeks later. Plenty of luxury YouTuber sell their collections, but the ones that I like really think about why or why not they are buying or selling their bags and the wardrobe come with it, many of them keep for at months, if not years before selling their things.
If she wants a luxury brand partnership and sponsorship, this is a laughably bad way to go about it. Her channel makes zero business sense and someone can educate me on how YouTube monetisation works because I doubt she earns enough to justify 10k pounds purchases every week.
Maybe she bought it herself, it’s a available to purchase at a chain of health food stores in the U.K..This seems very random.. Seems like it should be #ad or #gifted but nothing..![]()
