She looks silly. People wearing multiple Chanel bags at the same time base it on all bags being in the same shade ie black and of varying sizes from micro to medium so they look really chic. She tries so hard but ends up looking silly. She’s probably doing her yearly (churned) review of her Chanel bags. She’ll prob lose more followers from this as they must realise she preaches the same old shit every time.

Amie is such a loser. i cant believe she thinks this photo is remotely cute or funny. she has no life and no friends. she must cling to the fantasy that being known as “the girl with all the Chanel” make her cool or popular if she has any intelligent viewers left (as it seems most of us have already unsubscribed and have defected to Tattle ) she will probably see more mass unsubscribings over the coming month a la Elle Florence due to how ridiculous and tone deaf her channel has become.

And yes, the amount she has “invested” in bags should have been invested in stocks or property. i think unless you are fully financially secure (which she is clearly not) its not really smart to have as many handbags as she does. i understand its a hobby for some- i enjoy handbags too - but on reflection my comparatively “modest” collection of 12 bags acquired over 10 yrs is even too much for me to enjoy and get proper rotation out of, especially post covid. so i am considering re-selling half of it and keeping only the “workhorses”(bags that get worn every week and are taken on vacations). Also, Amie has killed the St Laurent brand for me- they are the first bags i will be getting rid of from my personal collection; talk about a FAILED influencer!

hi all. i migrated over from Chase Amie gg thread to here. i refuse to give her views on her new videos so that she doesnt get $$ to maintain her shopping addiction. i note she bought yet another Chanel flap bag- why in the middle of covid lockdowns she felt the need to buy another flap bag when she already has 5(?) that she can barely wear out is beyond comprehension! and dressing up and modelling her new bags at the local Costco?? she is such a bogan! Just watched the latest vlog. So it turns out she went to London... with her mum. Doesn't she have any friends? Given how her mum lives so close to her, I would have thought she'd like the opportunity to meet up with friends when shes in London, but nope just her mum again. Even if the friends didn't want to appear on the vlog, other people would have filmed dinners and drinks with them in the background faces hidden and just said I'm meeting some friends for food etc. Lack of friends speaks volumes about the sort of person she is imo.

I just watched her Korea trip and I actually felt sad for her this time, she literally have no knowledge of her cultural background and find it all super "surprising" that I have no idea whether she is playing it up for the camera.

this bothered me as well. considering how close she is to her mum (who is Korean) i was surprised how she carried on like a complete noob about how “foreign” Korean food was. Korean food is very well known in cities like London, Los Angeles, New York etc. i’m from Sydney and there’s heaps of Korean food/fusion Korean. i found her poor acting offensive (i am not Korean) because it came across as if supressing her Asian heritage was part of her narrative of “affluent influencer”. she’s as uncultured as she is bland.

She seems really confused about Korean BBQ, which is one of the most ubiquitous form of Korean food outside of Korea, surely there are Korean restaurants in London? She ate at the hotel buffet twice considering she seems to be there for only like a few days, which is super sad considering hotel buffets are the same everywhere.

Alright, you guys got me to watch her Korea vlog. I'm assuming her mom's first language is Korean, because of her slight accent and how fluidly she pronounced "makgeolli", and I very much doubt she "had no idea" what was going on at KBBQ. I couldn't tell if Amie just likes to do that thing where you overreact to the littlest thing or she is truly that ignorant. Even if her mom never spoke Korean in the house and never cooked Korean food, Korean culture is so popular globally now that you'd think Amie would have at least heard about some of these things (Like galbi, which does not rhyme with "cow", Amie). At the very least, it makes her look terribly uncool.

Your average person can’t tell high quality precious jewelry from big box department store jewelry or even some fancy costume jewelry, and that’s why Amie doesn’t spend on it unless it’s something tacky and obviously designer like the Cartier clou bracelet, which every YouTuber and their mother has a version of. She likes Chanel, LV, and YSL styles because they’re so obvious with their branding, with the logo smack in the middle of the item for Chanel and YSL or it’s all over the bag like the monogram or damier prints. Amie is all about presenting an image of being wealthy to whoever believes her. Of course, the truly well off can spot her tackiness right away since those people don’t hesitate to spend on things like expensive appliances and designer furniture, tasteful furnishings, and eating well but Amie doesn’t bother with that because it’s much harder to show off to your average Joe. Amie’s life can be summed up by Ikea furniture, scrimping and saving on food and other daily use items, and tacky designer items with logos that ensure everyone knows “Amie is carrying designer.”

Considering she works in marketing, she seems to falls for the most basic marketing gimmicks all the time. It is like being a doctor and is also a heavy smoker. "Sustainability" is used by mass market fashion brands to trick consumers to buy more things; it has corporatised to a point where it became absolutely meaningless.

Did she seriously JUST start getting into the white sneakers trend? That has been around for at least 3 years. I am not the most fashion forward person, but I think the white sneakers trend is kinda on its way out.

Also, aside from just the massive amounts of resources and energy it involves to produce all these stuff. All the packaging and transportation has an adverse environmental cost. If you want to shop consciously, you have to factor in those impacts as well. Considering there are truckloads of stuff coming to her every week, she doesn't care about the environment at all.

Someone said that Amie had lived in different countries while growing up so less travel now for her. However - doesn’t she want to spend time with Dan and make wonderful memories of places they’ve visited together? It’s sad that he loses out just because she’s been there, done that.

I moved and lived in three different countries, and one where I had to learn a completely new language when I was young so I can understand why Amie doesn't want to travel. When you are at the whim of your parents and constantly move around it is destabilising, as you just settled somewhere and made friends and then you were forced to move again. She might have past trauma from moving around constantly, and it can explains why she buys so many expensive things because she needs physical objects to hold onto.

Travel is an experience that constantly test your comfort zone and challenges your beliefs and examine your actions. While she is entrepreneurial and seems to be quite hardworking, I don't think she is the type of person who is open to new experiences. Dan is probably not that adventurous either and I think they prefer to work on their businesses than doing anything else.

People can spend how they want to spend their money and there are probably some things each one of us spend on that other would consider frivolous. The problematic aspect, I think everyone touched on is that she posits herself as a luxury and lifestyle YouTuber that provides knowledge and insights so her viewers can make the best possible decision when it comes to luxury purchases. But all she does is buy the bag saying she love it, and then selling it a few weeks later. Plenty of luxury YouTuber sell their collections, but the ones that I like really think about why or why not they are buying or selling their bags and the wardrobe come with it, many of them keep for at months, if not years before selling their things.

If she wants a luxury brand partnership and sponsorship, this is a laughably bad way to go about it. Her channel makes zero business sense and someone can educate me on how YouTube monetisation works because I doubt she earns enough to justify 10k pounds purchases every week.

i think Chanel bags have become so expensive for what they are now that i would be uncomfortable to accept one as a gift. we dont know what her brother’s financial situation is, but what type of favour would attract a “thank you” in the form of an almost $6000 tiny handbag?? (i’m quoting AUD, probably USD would be slightly less). my theory is she bought herself a new bag, and knowing the backlash from fans framed it as “a gift” so they would be less likely to criticise.

and yes, i guarantee she will sell this in a years time. if her brother really did buy this, this would make her a terrible person (she has already sold various bags gifted to her by Dan).

I think she’ll sell the brother’s gifted bag too as she only likes gold hardware on her bags, whereas this has silver. She’ll sell the Chanel Deauville tote as well that Dan bought her last year for her birthday given she bought a few LVs right after and the D tote has hardly been used. This is one person not worthy of presents - she’ll sell it if it’s not good enough which is awful given the emotional sentiment tied to the item.

I also wonder when she’ll take the plunge and buy some diamond stud earrings?? She was thinking of getting them from Costco a few years ago. I have nothing against Costco but I can’t fathom how someone who spends tens of thousands on Chanel bags and other luxe items is unwilling to purchase decent quality studs. I suspect this is down to her thinking that people aren’t able to tell if they’re DeBeers or Costco, which is rubbish as you can spot good diamonds from a mile away.

THIS ! Ugh. Get me a vomit bucket. Even my husband said ‘Brown dress with brown bag …. ’ I have nothing against brown dresses, I have a couple but to make them work, you need to add a pop of colour. But not every colour will work with brown either. Amie’s dress is such a disgusting cheap shade of brown as well …..

Wrong shades of brown, warm and orange toned browns tones together look awful and don’t suit her skin tone either, although nice to see her in a more youthful style of dress for once. Also her pose is so awkward - the way she stands / positions her legs is always odd

I'm very late replying but before they moved out of London Dan worked for the Pension Mgmt Company JLT ....in IT. I know because my company pension was with them for a time and I had cause to make a serious complaint. Whilst I was researching my complaint I looked up the company on LinkedIn etcetera. Amie was in events mgmt for another company.

They have now started their own company....some sort of IT solutions.....and live in Birmingham.

I like her work ethic but she seems very boring and how many videos about pink bags can one person endure?

Amie's style in clothes works for her but it gets repetitive after a while. I bet if Senreve didn't sponsor her, she wouldn't buy their bags at all. What she really likes is Chanel and LV.

Amie bought and sold 2 Chanel Deauville totes. I can never understand why Amie buys and then sells 2 more bags of the same sort - like the Gucci Marmonts. If the first one didn't work out, why get the second in another colour?

Two reasons come to mind: 1) Content for her "luxury haul" videos. 2) She doesn't understand style, so when a thing doesn't work, she doesn't take that information and learn from it. Instead, she keeps reverting to her comfort zone of the same 3 bags in the same narrow color range, thinking: "Well, maybe this time..." This would also explain why her channel has barely evolved since its inception. She won't branch out into the topics you suggested because it's too foreign to her. She likes her bubble of girly, blush pink Shnells and Pinterest house and silk camis.

That is so damn sad. You go into a city and eat at a cheap chain restaurant. There are plenty of family owned restaurants you can try and can get away with overdressed even if it is a cheap place.

Amie’s life is an empty one. She clearly loves the attention from fans on her bags and Pinterest pretty home but what’s the point when she has no friends to go out with to enjoy the finer things in life (given she’s all
about luxe) and no friends coming over to the flat for dinner etc even pre-covid. Family doesn’t count, it’s friends who tell us what kind of person she is and it’s clear she has none. Even her ‘fans’ have to be coaxed - through Chanel/ YSL giveaways - to up her followers’ count. It’s so pathetic.
