I love how creepy that makes us sound! I know you got the info from what she shared on sm but it sounds like we've got a stakeout going or something šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£

But yeah, that's definitely not how to isolate. In terms of Oliver, when my husband had to isolate a few months back I was told to keep going into work and living life as normal despite living and sharing a bed with him and stuff so Oliver might be OK? Not sure if that still applies though or if that advice was even correct?
He's contact of a contact so can continue as normal... ..as long as she stays negative!

Surely she is suppose to be isolating? What is she doing at Thorpe Park?!

I don't think she does if the member of the company has been pinged and doesn't have covid themselves, or if she hasn't been in close contact with the person with covid

I donā€™t think she needs to isolate unless she tests positive (happy to be corrected on this), but I do think itā€™s quite smug to head off to Thorpe Park for a day out (and post about it) knowing that some of her colleagues are going to struggle to pay their bills this month because Cinderella is closed.
By all means spend your newfound free time however you like but maybe consider being sensitive about showing off online?

She also just know that as an ā€œinfluencerā€, regardless of whatever she calls it she has an audience that she influences with her decisions, to maybe just include a note or something for those who are anxious about COVID about her and the companyā€™s precautions - itā€™s the very first week of the summer holidays, cased are rising and sheā€™s going to a busy theme park right after legal restrictions have been lifted - add on top of that the smugness of doing so right after her primary job, and that of so many, has collapsed I literally cannot get over how little thought has gone into all of this - I know itā€™s early and she may do this later and Iā€™d be incredibly happy to be proved wrong

Addition: Wether the trip is gifted or not, Iā€™d be very interested to know, given all of the aspects I listed above, if sheā€™s decided to go as a form of consolation trip for Cinderella closing and sheā€™s lost her primary form of socialisation so she knows sheā€™ll primarily be home for the foreseeable (okay ish I guess as long as sheā€™s careful, but as itā€™s been mentioned Ollie still has Frozen) or if she would still be going if she was in Cinderella and mixing with so many people literally that evening or the day after?

The English rules are that you have to isolate for the 10 days after you were in contact with someone who has tested positive, regardless of whether your tests are negative or positive (because they can be negative at first but then change to positive a few days after the exposure).

This is why there was outrage when Boris Johnson wasn't going to isolate after the health secretary tested positive, because the rules on isolation apply the same for everyone.

It really can't be said enough: Carrie only cares about Carrie, she doesnt give a sh*t about theatre or her colleagues who are less fortunate. If someone like Georgie Ashford, who by no means has the same career or level of fame, can be self-aware enough to worry about whether or not she should happily post about getting a new gig after lockdown - then why can't Carrie? Because it's always only about her; I've said this before but the only thing she loves about theatre is the applause SHE gets, the praise she's been getting since she was a child. She never watches any shows, never has any kind or generous words about co-stars or other musical theatre stars' projects....if it's not about her, Carrie doesn't care at all.

There seems to be quite a few of the cast who aren't isolating so they probably weren't deemed as being close contacts. Would be interesting to know how many cast/crew have had to isolate. I'm guessing those sharing a dressing room, and maybe the dressing rooms either side - since it's based on distance with your phones.

Ah fair enough, I thought I saw somewhere that you only had to isolate if it was a ā€œcloseā€ contact and NHS Test and Trace told you to (and ALWā€™s argument that it wasnā€™t a close contact - a ā€œcameoā€ or whatever stupid thing he said), which could explain why none of the cast seem to be isolating. Either way the guidance has been proven to be shady AF and the responsible thing to do would be to isolate, or at the very least just stay close to home if you think you might have been exposed.
But looks like some of the cast decided to go on a field trip - non socially distanced and maskless. Not illegal, sure, but definitely irresponsible; so many chances to be infected/infect others. And what if she picks it up on a non-essential day out and infects Oliver unwittingly? Thatā€™s his show ruined tooā€¦

If she isnā€™t isolating then she probably didnā€™t have any close contact with the cast member who tested positive. Apparently some people have figured out who it likely is based on the use of the word ā€˜cameoā€™ in ALWs statement. Are they talking about Ivanoā€™s understudy? I havenā€™t a clue, but I think the assumptions are from people who have seen the show.

If the person who had covid interacted with so few of the main cast and crew, then surely they would have been able to go ahead and use covers for those parts? Something seems odd about how the government's rules forced the show to close but didn't force these members of the cast to isolate.

At this point ALW has been so dramatic throwing not just the toys out of the pram, heā€™s thrown out the baby too! Iā€™m thinking itā€™s a cover to do a complete rewrite and edit of the show based on what had been shared on theatreboard.

Cinderella has now become toxic............it's not something that had mass appeal in the first place, the only thing that could have carried it thrgouh would be an outstanding press night, which would have created hype. Advance sales were appalling (you could see that from available tkts on LW Theatres selling platform, as well as all the agencies platforms). I believe they are now using this as an excuse to close what was a pretty dreadful show. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, ALW and his programming team have lost touch with what people want to see. In a world where the competition is Hamilton, Frozen etc who wants to go and see a poor telling of Cinderella? Now, if like in the original workshop, it was focussed on the Step-Mother, I think the outcome would have been completely different..........

Or on the Prince, or even a more radical retelling where cinderella doesn't have a love interest at all. For all the talk of it being a fresh take, it really isnt

The fact they never understood the message of the story (have courage and be kind) meant that they would never be able to get the story right.
There are so many ways the story could have go:
-Sebastian is the one rebelling and Cinderella keeps taking the fall because he is her best friend and she has nothing to loose compared to him.
-Cinderella not like the other girls maybe includes her wearing male trousers instead of the doc martens and fishnets and the mess of the hair. Maybe she wants to be a fashion designer but her ideas donā€™t go well with the stepmother (the show ends with her marrying Sebastian in a power suit she designed
-Etcā€¦.

so many ways they could have played with Cinderella without losing the key of the story but they think that she changed herself for a guy, so what can you expect?

THIS! There is a fundamental misunderstanding of the original story. Cinderella never needed saving by a man, or wanted a man. She wanted to escape her boring life and prison, and have a nice night out. Yes the love at first sight thing is a bit rushed and cheesy but the Prince still marries her despite her not being a princess or of royal blood. And in many live action versions they save eachother in different ways.
