I will always slate her for begging for free stuff and will defend the Christmas campaign as I don't ever see any sign of anything amiss.
I'm sure the amounts were posted and the companies tagged that were involved, charities tagged that got funds etc.
I've never thought that it wasn't transparent.

But there are a lot of cash donations that go to other charities supposedly for heating. She supported 3 charities at Xmas including Cash for kids

But I have never seen where the rest of the money goes - no cheques handed over. No posts about the money being handed over to the other 2 charities

Handling charitable donations, people’s hard earned money for doing good for others is a huge responsibility and Caroline is going to come under huge scrutiny for this. I don’t know what accounting she does for this money coming in and I’m certainly not accusing her of anything but when she’s putting herself out there in that role she should keep herself above reproach. Being sneaky in her general posting doesn’t help, the teeny tiny #ad in a corner isn’t great practice. The building of a huge house and all her collabs there which she’s not being exactly transparent about…you can see why people start to ask questions about everything.

Thank you for putting this way better than me. At last someone understands where I am coming from. She has never posted anything regarding what money went to the other 2 charities. Not one post or story.
And because we raised money in work and donated it I wondered where exactly it went to. There is completely no transparency

It's her that should be telling us where (as Preened put it - our hard earned money) has went to - was it Cash for kids, St Vincent de Paul or Save the Children. Was it used for food vouchers, heating vouchers or something else.
If I was to raise that amount of money I would like to think someone would hold me accountable by how it is divvied up

Exactly this! I'd say to be fair to her there's nothing dodgy about the way she handles the donations! But for me it's more that it's 'one for you and one for me' she's raising this money and tat for Christmas etc, but she's doing it first and foremost to boost her own platform and popularity. Families helped is just a bonus.

Must remember to grill any future raffle ticket sellers as to where my £1 is going, ask the school PTA for a detailed breakdown of funds raised at the Christmas fair and ring the dogs Trust to see which dog exactly benefitted from my fiver a month direct debit!

When I give to charity, I choose who I donate to. I trust that person to ensure that the money goes where it's needed.
It's quite simple in that you don't donate if you don't trust that every pound is accounted for.
It was specified at the time exactly how much went to svp etc.

It's not that hard to email and find out or even send a PM to Caroline and ask. If you were that bothered, I'm sure you wouldn't hesitate to ask.

This is coming from someone who has my own business and I sit with my chartered accountant every month. She would be far better registering as a charity. Yes it’s a lot of work to set up but no one can point a finger. All her undisclosed and sneaky ads etc add to the speculation about her. I’m not talking rit so don’t get so emotional

Yes, I did see with my own eyes the influencers who were given money to give gifts, come back with receipts and record it on a board in the warehouse. I also saw the gifts leave the warehouse in the lorry and the grid post of the TOTAL amount raised but that was it.

I don't think they have anything to do with Caroline. If my memory is correct, Duchess Pink replied to my earlier post re how it didn't sit well with me her accepting all the freebies when it could benefit the charity and they agreed with me. It wasn't that long ago, but I can't be bothered to scroll back

The money is raised

The instahuns go out with a certain amount of money to get as much bang for their buck whilst calling in favours from brands & businesses they have a working relationship with.
They bring back the receipts so that they can show how they got eg 2.5k of stock for their 1k
I would say that proportion is more heavily policed and not just because the charity (cash for kids/SVDP etc) can then potentially use those receipts to claim back VAT

That is the only part of the process that has some transparency

All these people who are known to be slippery as snakes and lack accountability are involved.
We all know the lack of declaring ads etc
It’s raises eyebrows as to what else is potentially being creamed off the top line. (Stock or cash)

The fact she is putting herself up to be Caroline Patron Saint of Child poverty then behaves the way she does is not compatible!!

She’s doing a whole new build home and not even taking the ornaments with her

Best ask cool fm to register as a charity and the other companies who also receive donations on behalf of these charities at Christmas.

I'm done with the Christmas charity chat now, it's rather boring trying to explain something simple to someone who isn't interested in understanding.
