I know! Can you imagine someone Lisa Eldridge ever behaving like that? She is just an oaf. And she made a big deal about the not advent kit cutting down on packaging for the environment but she has her plastic bags specially flown in?

It’s really awful behaviour. When Lisa had shipping issues with her last lipstick launch, she was so apologetic and replied to everyone, then made big changes for the next time. I wish there was a rave about thread for LE- love her.

Who replies like this. She is meant to be a professional. She had ridden in on the bandwagon of YT et al.... at some point the bubble will burst and she is quite frankly unemployable. She goes on about how she has had to apologise her whole working life for being who she is. Well I am not surprised because who she is is an unprofessional idiot.

I want to know why CH and every other Influenza thinks that straw-brittle looking custard yellow hair and diagonal black eyebrows (with broom-bristle foot-long lashes) are the epitome of style and beauty???

She looks like one of the Angry Birds with those eyebrows and that facial expression.

Someone on the Sali thread mentioned British Beauty Blogger. Still seems to have a lot of affliates/ sponsored posts but I feel like there is some genuine 'insider' news about trends which can inform my purchasing.

I met her at an event once and she was genuinely nice and didn't spout guff or seem up her self like CH or Sali was. Also seems genuine on Twitter instead of being a bulldog on the attack like CH is (or a drippy sympathy seeker like Sali)

It’s only now I recall what an enormous fuss The Hulk-Hiron made when IG new declaration rules came in. She was full of eye rolling and heavy sighs and ‘why didn’t they consult me?” As if it was all done to inconvenience her and now we see how their whole fecking lives are #gifted and how It was vital to their continued business model to keep that fact quiet.

Yes. The rules changing was hugely eye opening for me and the biggest give away was how influencers reacted to it. In my mind there was roughly three camps

1. No changes because they were broadly declaring their work along those lines anyway
2. The ones that acknowledged the changes, clarified to their followers how they would be labelling posts from there on, and then just got on with it
3. The ones who moaned and whined and wrote screen after screen’s worth of words why they think it’s unfair and stupid (usually dressed up as ‘it’s now unfair/unclear/confusing to you guys’ — err, no). These one are still rallying against the ‘injustice’ at every opportunity.

And surprise surprise it was the ones in cat 3 who suddenly had to declare WAY more than ever before and it became apparent why they were so anti transparency.

Makes me so annoyed that everyone on the Caroline Hirons FB page loves it and are trying to justify spending that amount of money when ‘influencers’ (eg Zoella) who have never worked a day in their life get given one for nothing.

I get that it’s marketing but it has the opposite effect on me - gift something to someone like Zoe Sugg who then smugly shows me what my £290 gets and there is no way I’m forking out full price for it!!

Her stories this morning are about switching up swear words. I have absolutely nothing against swearing I do it every day, however I have a job which requires professionalism and I would not publish on the internet on a forum for my work like she does. I don't understand how any professional company would want her to work for or with them. She lacks professionalism, and has a chip on her shoulder (which as we all know has borne 72 children and is at least 10 foot off the ground) about not being formally educated, I am not saying she does not know how to schill but she thinks the louder she shouts and the more she swears and raises an eyebrow the more authentic she is, when in fact it is the exact opposite.
