She’s not letting this go is she? I mean, she’s not necessarily wrong, but nobody’s biting, and she’s preaching to the converted. It’s like flogging a dead horse. Just move on love.

Has anyone listened to the Full Coverage podcast this week – ‘Maskne’ episode? About 17 minutes in she gets pretty vocal about an article that I am assuming is the one by Jessica Defino in Teen Vogue. She (Lindsey) is basically saying (imo) that people are not falling into a capitalist, therefore patriarchal, trap by buying beauty products and that nobody should get into debt for skincare and makeup. I think we would all agree with this, however her tone and attitude comes across as if she is taking a dig at Jessica Defino’s article. I genuinely do not know how she can reconcile her thoughts and attitude towards this article (which stinks of ‘you must be stupid to get into debt’) with the fact that she spends the first 20 mins talking about new products – which includes references to silk masks and specific products targeted towards fighting “Maskne” (which is apparently everyone’s new favourite marketing term as opposed to CBD last year). To be honest this just sums up the hypocrisy / double standards of the whole beauty and influencer sphere… its okay to add a disclaimer in to not spend money you don’t have, whilst simultaneously soft selling products (PR samples) for a made up skin concern with a marketing term attached to it. They are effin spots, that is all.

I know this is slightly off topic regarding Caroline, but it really fits into the general conversation we are having about influencer culture and the idea that we need more, more, more. Also Lindsey regularly recommends CH as a go to for skincare advice and refers to her as though she is the only person in the world who knows about skin – whilst simultaneously flogging £300 skincare kits every 3 months.

AAGGHHHH it drives me nuts.

Link to Jessica Defino’s article - disclaimer I am not her biggest fan, I just like reading a different point of view.

On another note, just saw this on my feed from the freaks group. Cringe.
That is bleeping horrible on many levels. The crass gender stereotypes, the simpering toadyness towards CH, the sheer wastefulness of spending over £500 on skincare (bet she will also buy the winter set or "manipulate" her bloke into it). Freaks is the right term. It feels like we are at the end of days at the moment.

Lindsey Kelk is another insufferable idiot who loves the sound of her own voice. Harry seems lovely though, when she can get a word in edgewise.

Lindsey Kelk is one of Caroline's buddies, isn't she? I went off her when she started throwing the word TERF around, the daft cow.

@Skiddidlydaddle agreed, and also... she's not even paying for that stuff herself? Weird dynamic.

I'm thinking it must be a parody. No one can be such a brain dead cliche of a person. Can they??

insufferable is the right word. Ugh.
Love, love, love Harry. She’s quietly there in the corner adding value.

Already posted this to the SH thread, but a public service announcement - DO NOT use silk masks except in outdoor settings!

It's also sad as you just know there'll be many freaks who'll get themselves into debt over this. And the 300 saving is a fallacy IMO. It only really works as a saving if you were planning to buy that exact configuration of products, which isn't really likely is it?
Exactly... that's what pisses me off.. sorry for the strong language. . What the actual cost must be ... that its 50% discounted and still everyone is making a profit... understand there's some discount manufacturers aka brands would give for bulk orders plus the free promotion they get... but just imagine... its a profitable business. .. its not like she's doing some noble charity work !!
Exccept my initial one year i necer buy anything full price... ill wait for a discount atleast that's some relief. . N now since lockdown n Tret I've saved so much... dont need wont buy. .. just some few things here n there for feel good factor. .. yes some cleansers ..serums hydrating. .vitc ... ferulic .. couple of exfoliating products... dont beed much cause tret does it all ..... that's it!
Sidebar..the brand discounts are good .. Ive never seen a box where I've wanted each n every product to buy... so its a waste .. i can't spend that much at one shot...

I only ended up here because I was googling CH’s kits and stumbled across a rare group of people who weren’t fan girling and calling them the deal of the century. I’ve stayed here because I need these comments as we approach the new release. I can afford a kit but I’ve never spent that much on a single shopping spree in my life, let alone for consumables with a shelf life. I’m tempted but it helps to hear people point out that despite the discount, i’d still be spending £300 that would otherwise be in my bank account.

Month old baby has bumpy, dry and slightly spotty skin! What can we do 😭😭😭

Some sensibly recommending do nothing, others recommending La Roche Posay baby range. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’d say this was more for a baby group than a skincare group...
Surely she’d advise her daughter to ask her health visitor or midwife, or even gp, rather than asking a group that’s talking about aesthetic skincare for grown adults.

Back to lip fillers, just looked at Nadine Baggott’s stories and I was almost hypnotised by hers! Couldn’t stop looking 😂 She must have just had them done, they look huge!

I can’t watch her with those fillers, it’s awful. How is it that she doesn’t see how weird her mouth looks?

Most babies go through a spotty phase in the first few weeks . And yes,if you weren’t sure you’d be asking a health visitor 🙄
