Ava’s been doing the suggestive images on SM thing for years. Way before she was 18 (i think she is actually 18 now). She had a depop (?) account where she was ‘modelling’ the items for sale, always heavy-lidded pouty, semi naked, paedophilic wet dreams. Caroline must’ve been aware, I found it by googling Ava’s name, it was in the first few results and I’m no whizz. Zero sense of safeguarding. She must’ve been 16 at the time

Caroline strikes me as just the kind of slightly tacky mum who’d be fine with her daughter being a glamour model. She’s probably pulling all the strings to get her signed at Gleam or somewhere like that.
On Ava's Instagram she is working out during lockdown in a gym. This gym looks over a huge garden. Is this on the ground floor of Caroline's home? There is a wooden sin lounger in the garden, but in yesterday's stories Caroline said they had finally bought proper garden furniture. They had bought a black set.

I don’t think so either, it looks totally different. I have to say I’m really shocked looking at Ava’s Instagram. Not only does she look like an incredibly arrogant witch and seems to be proud of it (sorry, I know she’s only a teenager, and I have to say in hindsight at that age I probably wasn’t my most likeable either), but also what about all those thong pictures and the bum obsession? My mum is fairly relaxed, but there’s no way she would have allowed me to post those pictures. Is this how the kids are today? Is this what social media does to teenagers? I feel really old saying that, but I really find it quite appalling and dangerous.I don’t think that’s their house or garden.

The thing about Dr Dray is... I’m not sure she’s a qualified dermatologist. She did finish medical school, but I’m not sure she practised as a doctor for long, if at all. She’s too ill with anorexia to work (and I don’t mean that in an idle speculation way - it’s obvious how ill she is by looking at her).
Dr Sam Bunting is another one who apparently lies by omission when it comes to her dermatology qualifications. She isn’t a Consultant because she didn’t complete the training.
I knew about Dr Bunting not being all she purports, but I thought Dr Dray was a licensed practicing dermatologist, is this incorrect? I’ll be really disappointed if so!
Dr Anjali Mahto is a specialist Dermatologist and has urged those looking for treatment to make sure they check the medical register to find a Dr who actually did the additional dermatologist training and qualified.
She has never named names of those who aren’t as qualified as her but I do wonder if she has Sam Bunting in mind when she posts these messages.
I used to be on the freaks group. Don’t get me wrong, some of the information on there and product recommendations are bang on, and there are loads of really helpful people on there who know their stuff. But I found it a bit bitchy sometimes. A lass (I think someone mentioned it above) made a live streamed video in the group slagging off someone who had asked Caroline a question on her instagram when apparently it had already been addressed on her blog and everyone was laughing and taking the piss out of the person. I thought it was quite harsh because the person might have been a new fan of Caroline who might have only heard of her recently, or might have been a person who isn’t very technology or social media savvy so wouldn’t have known what a ‘blog’ was. It came across as a bit of a witch hunt and I didn’t like it.
Why do people who like her call themselves freaks? Freak meant hippy style when I was growing up, as opposed to geek or nerd.
Those can do, those that can't become influencers... If you're a properly qualified consultant dermatologist you'll earn more money doing that (injectables and lasers etc) than gambling on becoming an influencer. Also you'll be able to see how stupid and without any evidence the claims made for skincare really are, which would make it more difficult to enthusiastically flog this junk.
If you're not properly qualified (or even failed to qualify) then you make statements which give the impression you're qualified whilst never actually lying so that you can't be reported for impersonating a doctor...

Yep, on the GMC register, Sam Bunting's designated body is the British College of Aesthetic Medicine whereas Ankali Mahto is on the specialist register of dermatology.
But minus infinity points to Dr Mahto for appearing on that appalling Charlotte Tilbury 'panel of experts' on that BS crystal magic serum piece
This was her in Dec 2019 on her IG post about medical influencers: I do not personally see myself as a “medical influencer”. I am a doctor, first and foremost and being a doctor is a strong part of my personal identity. Despite the blue tick and a certain number of followers, I have resisted the idea that I “influence” but rather prefer the idea that my platform on the whole “educates” and makes credible, science-based information accessible

Thanks. I’ll definitely look into it further. She is painfully thin, but I don’t watch anything to do with her lifestyle, recipes etc. I only look up if it’s skincare related, and for something specific. I have found that she generally gives sensible advice and reasonably priced suggestions that work.
That's a big rich coming from her. She slagged him off plenty in the FB Freaks group before he died.
I think she was a working dermatologist but she left her job quite suddenly. If you google Dr Andrea Suarez you should find more info. She did graduate med school but not sure what happened after there. She does online consulting so one would hope she’s qualified!
I've been a follower/semi-fan for quite a few years now, and I've definitely seen a change in her. I think it might have a bit to do with the pressure of both of her adult children started working for her. And given that Jim is pretty much her business partner, we can assume that the "Caroline Hirons brand" pretty much supports the whole family now, so it makes sense that her choices have become more business-oriented. What I have more of an issue with is the TINY tiny pool of brands that she associates with and recommends on a regular basis. She is supposedly "one of the most influential skincare experts" in the business who champions brands that are rooted in Science, yet she has never heard of or tried brands such as SkinMedica, Sente, Neocutis, Defenage and iS Clinical, that's a bit bizarre really since those are some of the most scientifically advanced brands out there. And for someone who claims P50 to be one of her all-time favorite products, she doesn't seem to know anything about the hundreds of other SKUs Biologique Recherche has, makes you wonder if she will ever acknowledge brands that are unlikely to pay her (even Victoria Beckham had to pay for her BR products). Also her (and Sali Hughes') dismissive attitude towards K-beauty bothers me, I don't want to use the "r" word but it certainly sounds arrogant to say ALL brands and products coming out of a country are "trend-based" and "lack substance".
