Abigail James is the woman for you! Facialist, author, lots of massage how-tos, discussion of peels, LEDs, skin rolling etc as she uses in her practice. Not shouty.

I honestly do not get it at all. The freaks are nuts! They act like these kits are free or some kind of giveaway the way they say thank you to Caroline, it's almost clut-ish. The way they jump on people in comments too is wild. £225 is a hell of a lot of money to spend on creams for your face, I don't care if you are "saving" £200 on RRP especially if they are products you have never tried or seen before. I'd rather put that £225 towards products I use and absolutely love to treat myself rather than gamble £225 on products someone who has never seen me or my skin has thrown together.

Exactly! I looked at the contents and they're just random old overpriced shite, you probably need to have skin like elephant hide to use all that stuff, which means you likely don't need any of it anyway. I think freaks just basically like the idea or ideal of this community they've invented, or rather cult, with their super seekwit speshul skincare knowledge imparted by Dear Leader Hirons. Like most cults, it exists to suck your money out of your bank account and into Leader's pockets.

Wow. 88 products! At least she has the sense not to buy any more. I bought the Winter kit and still have loads left from it so it hasn't even crossed my mind to buy one of the new kits because I don't need it. So much mindless consumerism going on, which makes me feel a bit ill tbh.

88???? That is actually obscene.

And don’t even get me started on the spreadsheet…there’s a few freaks that seem to have these. Honestly if you need a spreadsheet to tell you what to put on your face and when how the fuck do you make it through the day

The Votary cleaning oil e.g. is just a bunch of oils (jojoba, sunflower, etc.) and essential oils.

It's definitely cult-like, I've been there, there was a time when I thought I NEEDED all the expensive potions to make me feel better, it was definitely a way to compensate sutff that was going on in my life. I still like skincare and I probably have more than I need (what DOES one need anyway?) but I've switched to cheaper stuff and my skin's just fine.

If you need a spreadsheet to stay on top of your skincare, I thinks it’s safe to say you have too many bloody products!

Also the RRP for that Chantecaille is £86.00 for 40 ml? That's obscene.
The main ingredients are Avobenzone 3%, Octinoxate 7.5%, Octisalate 5%, Octocrylene 2.75%.
Bog-standard SPF, really and at that price people are just gonna try to use as little as possible.

My other problem with kits is that if I really liked all the products I might not be able to afford to continue using them. If there's a RRP saving with a kit, that's one thing, but if one becomes attached and likes all the products, they need to factor in the cost of replacing them when they run out. Of course, this being Caroline, there'll be a dozen more kits with the latest must have products by the time the current kit runs out

Yep. 40ml is maybe a couple of week's daily use on face and neck/chest, one decent application per day. They come in such stupidly tiny sizes obviously to maximize profit, which is already pretty grotesque. yet again with these brands all you're paying for is the brand name snobbery, the expensive marketing and models etc and of course the freebies sent out to various media wankers to promote it. That product doesn't even have the latest and best filters in it. You're paying for a product no better than Soltan but at 10x the price.

My pet beauty world peeve lately is sunscreen adverts which show some woman applying the product over her make-up and in such small quantity she may as well not even bother.

Also these people know kits come out every 3 months or so, if you really want one and you know it will be in a few months time either save up for it or just do without, can these people not budget for any other parts of their lives or is it just skincare that makes them lose all common sense? They know it's coming and suddenly realise they can't afford it?

Exactly, I really don't get it. I really hate the culture that Caroline has created within that group. Any begging posts should be nuked immediately.

Just had an email reminder that kit 1 is still available it’s all very calculated isn’t it….the lack of time between announcement and kit going on sale to give some thought to the purchase, no presentation/how to from the brands until after purchase, withholding the brand offers until she’s sold enough kits. It’s pretty clear a good chunk of the freaks can’t see it for what it is and get swept up in the nonsense.

As long as the cash rolls in from the kits Caroline doesn’t give two monkeys about what goes on in that group.

Man the freaks are really pooing themselves with excitement for kitmass today I just saw a post of them reminiscing about how difficult it used to be to get a kit in the olden days. Someone else popped up saying something like, "it was so easy today to buy a kit, I just got goosebumps hearing you talk about how it used to be". Wtaf who are these people? Constantly trying to out-do each other to the point they are all off the charts bananas now.

I saw that and she's edited to say she miscounted and she actually has 95.

Stand by for the "so excited for dispatch ", then "I got my dispatch enail" to he thrilling tales of stalked couriers. Then pictures of the kit....
