Oh wow, I assumed about 7 … 13 is a lot at that age. I thought he was a bit older; he has a mature looking hairline and has just never come across super young … unlike when she supposedly dated Harry styles and he looked like a cherub!
Hopefully this isn’t classed as derailing, but I was just reminded about Caroline Adherne - another (albeit talented) violent famous woman who abused her partner relentlessly before she died and has since taken on angel status in the public’s mind.

I find their height difference more bizarre than their age difference. Apparently Caroline was 5ft2, and Lewis is 6ft3, but in the majority of their pictures together he looks like an absolute giant!? Like she's got heels on too there as well 
There was an incident at an after party for some awards do with over 30 witnesses where she was hitting him. It was in the papers at the time too before he wrote about it in his book.
I love her work, but she was ducked up on booze and drugs a lot, which imo doesn’t excuse domestic violence.

I read the injury wasn’t caused by the lamp but she threw his phone at him after reading messages he sent to another girl.
My point was more that it went both ways rather than the version of events he ran with. I didn't suggest any violence would be mitigated by alcohol or drugs. It was clearly a deeply unhealthy relationship and by her own description she was difficult to deal with during the bad times. I'm glad she was able to turn things around.
There are pictures of Hooky punching her in the stomach in broad daylight in the middle of the street so I think with those 2 they were ducked up alcoholics, both of them as bad as each other.

I can’t find any photos like that, but I did find some photos from the after party of her putting herself in between Hooky & her ex Matt Bowers when there was an all out brawl with around 5 men. There was a photo of her laying into Hooky after he’d been dragged away, but can’t find it anywhere. These photos were in the tabloids at the time.

Same with Tessa Dunlop, the presenter and commentator. She met her now husband when he was 12 and she was 19 and teaching English in Romania. She arranged for him to come to the UK to go to her boarding school on a scholarship, and when he moved back to Romania, she followed him. The claim is they didn't start dating until 'he was legal,' but there are several pictures of them looking very cosy when he is clearly underage and she reports anyone who mentions it online.

From what I remember, a lot of people did say she was a handful when she had a few in her, and they weren't surprised about it but questioned the timing. At the same time, however, others defended him and wondered whether they would say the same if he had died, and Caroline was the one accusing him of assault because they doubt she would be told to be quiet and think of his family and friends if she came out with the same thing.
To bring it back to Caroline, the same thing happened when the news was revealed. I remember many online laughing at the notion that someone as small as her could actually harm someone much taller and stronger, and he was ridiculed for letting it happen.

I looked to see what this was about, new daily mail article. All the comments parrot what we are saying here. Her mother really does not help things.

Maybe he doesn't want his daughter's death to be seen as entertainment for the public to speculate about as a result of a documentary/ media interviews etc? Maybe he just wishes the mum would shut up and not expose her own desire for attention in the face of tragedy?
Maybe she would have got more attention from CF's suicide if Covid hadn't struck when it did and dominated the news?
It sounds as though the friends did a lot to try to support her. They deserve credit for attempting the impossible not blame and criticism.

I agree. She was very immature. I read her autobiography when it came out and it read like the autobiography of a 14 year old girl! It was clear there were some issues there around relationships. The reaction to break ups was very extreme (IMO).
Her mother needs some extensive therapy. I'm not saying that would make everything okay, of course it will not, but I can't see how trawling over these things for a tv programme or finger pointing really is going to help.
I know it sounds bad, but maybe her Mum is wanting a bit of attention from all this! I just can’t understand why you’d want to dredge it up again!
It’s not very pleasant of me to point out but both Caroline and her mother seem(ed) prone to histrionic, inappropriate and attention-seeking behaviour more befitting of a teenager than a grown woman. Her mother can’t see Caroline’s flaws because she shares them.
