Another article in Daily Mail sounds like the mother is going for Lewis in the documentary too.

Mention of the texts on his phone that set Caroline off so no doubt she’s going to say he was unfaithful. He probably was but again..her daughter had MH problems for years so I don’t know why she is trying to blame everyone.
The mother needs to stop seeking publicity and blaming others. She needs to deal with her grief privately and seek professional support. None of this blame game is going to bring Caroline back or make things any better for the family.

The mother is actually hurting other people now, and it's unfair.

Suicide is very difficult to rationalise for those left behind and it's easy to point fingers.

Also shame on any tv producers exploiting the mother's grief.

Beat me to it. They don't see a woman hurting - they see £££££

It’s reminding me a bit of Barnaby Webbers mum. Lost her child in an awful way with lots of publicity and her grief is being exploited as she is given a platform to attack others instead of processing her grief.

My friend ended her life in 2018 and still when I think of her it winds me. I can’t imagine that being my child and how I would feel but she can’t blame the world. Caroline had a mental illness and it was hardly a secret to those close to her. Why was she with her friends in her last days and not her family?

Sounds like she has a lot of misdirected grief and guilt she should process with a therapist and not on a tv show.

I think she’s risking the public losing their patience with this and then CFs memory is damaged. At the moment most people feel a lot of sympathy for the whole situation, despite the arrest, assault etc. but judging by a lot of the comments I’ve seen online people are losing patience with the narrative that CF death SHOULD have been prevented by the police, the courts or the friends. Despite no one really giving a toss about Lou, Lewis etc, they are getting a lot of sympathy in the comments I’m reading.

I don’t know what it’s like to lose a child and I hope I never find out. My heart goes out to her mum, losing her daughter in tragic circumstances…but I’m struggling to sympathise with her actions. I’ve stopped reading articles about her but I did watch the documentary a few years ago, the one where she said Caroline had struggled with her mental health and I think she said then she had a suicide attempt when she was younger. She was a troubled woman.

I haven’t followed it closely so I don’t know exactly what’s been said but the police have to deal with domestic assaults, be it male or female and I’m thinking that as long as they can prove it, the CPS will take it on. What if he had assaulted Caroline and the police had dealt with him as the mum wanted Caroline to be treated? There would have been outrage. The law can’t be seen to favour females, surely.

She reminds me of a woman in my area whose daughter committed suicide after being in a domestic abuse relationship. The girl’s mum is frequently in our local papers about changing the law and I think it’s because she’s an attractive, middle class woman and the press are courting Caroline’s mum because she was famous.

When I used to think of Caroline I would think of the X Factor or Strictly (her Charleston with Pasha is still my favourite Strictly dance of all time). But now I think of “be kind” where people throw her name about when they don’t like what folk are saying and the press courting a woman who needs help. Printing stuff that I think is encouraging Mrs Flack to keep doing it. Another documentary? I think she needs support and allow Caroline to rest in peace

Her Mum is foolish bringing this up again, as plenty of people will be reminded about her throwing the lamp at her bloke and will discuss the rights and wrongs of that instead!

Not just that but the fact she was a woman in her early thirties shagging a 17 year old. Attitudes have changed since 2012 and what was once "it's legal, every young lads dream" can now be viewed as an established older woman taking advantage of a teenager in the workplace. This push to examine Caroline's life could open some very weird can of worms.

Her mum has clearly been poorly advised. This documentary can’t bring anything new that hasn’t already been published.

Her friends and media pals have done a good job of focussing on the positive persona of Caroline since her death. Painting her a fun, vibrant woman, a great friend, who loved to perform and dance, and was generally a good egg. It’s a good legacy and reputation that they’ve cultivated for her after her death. It’s in no one’s interest to potentially upend that.

She’d be far better letting her RIP. Very misguided!

I think she was quite “lucky” in the sense that Harry isn’t the type to speak out about it and her friends like Lou, Nick, Sam etc were/are part of his circle and probably brushed off the creepiness interpersonally tbh. If he were more vocal about that situation then the be kind stuff wouldn’t have as much resonance.

He actually tweeted about her positively, right? Called her sweet.

Both things can be true - I think Lewis is an immoral parasite based on what I’ve read about him. He seemingly exploited, mistreated and provoked Caroline - as he likely does Lottie. He is a victim but a complicated one (I’m conscious that saying this about a woman would be contentious).

But Caroline, perhaps unlike Lottie, was unstable, insecure and histrionic so she was unable to cope with his manipulation and lies. She was volatile and unable to control her emotions - and she paid the ultimate price for that lack of control.

The whole thing is so complicated and inter-linked. I always got the impression that Louis funds a lot of the girls’ lifestyles (like… what does Lottie really do?). And whether or not Louis and Harry are still besties today, the fact remains that Harry’s relationship with Caroline was not straightforward.

Yes, as a 17 year old though. He wore a ribbon for her at the Brits a few days after she died I think so I don’t know what his feelings towards her are. Probably very complicated. If everyone around him was saying it was fine and justifying it then it’s possible he’s not unpacked that later in life.

Well, yeah. There’s no way he’d speak out about it now. His whole brand works because his team comments on nothing. Also because, whether or not she’s a beard, there was a massive dereliction of duty by TXF bosses in allowing it to happen and I seriously doubt he’d want to open any beef with SC. Especially not now LP has died.

Just been having a little look and interesting his Mum made some comments about the age gap in 2012, she basically said she never really thought about it and maybe Harry didn't either as she had an age gap with his own dad...

I just couldn’t ever imagine myself dating a teenage boy, it creeps me out to no end that somebody would be attracted to a 17yr old at the age of 31, but it’s done now. I can understand her mother is still hurting and lashing out but it’s really not helpful. I’ve had mental health struggles and almost succeeded in ending my own life in my early twenties (thank god I didn’t, because for me at least, it would’ve been a very very permanent solution to a temporary problem) so I empathise with Caroline and what she might have been feeling.

But at the end of the day, when you’ve made up your mind to do it, there’s not much anyone can do, apart from march you to the nearest psychiatric unit for an emergency assessment - then you’ll likely be admitted and watched around the clock. But they can’t keep you in there forever. I’m not going to blame her mother, but it could be argued she should’ve done that? The answer is of course, Caroline no doubt wouldn’t have complied. That’s why the blame game is a waste of time. Let her rest in peace.

My son is 17 and I can tell you that if a 31 year old was predating on him I’d be very bleeping unimpressed. I don’t care if they’re male or female.

He was a child and she was a disgusting predator
