Let’s not forget police were to called to Carrie Symonds’ flat after a neighbour heard banging, screaming and shouting including “get off me” and “get out of my flat”. Of course no charges were laid and it wasn’t pursued. No one lost their job and now that guy’s the PM. If Carrie had pressed charges and then dropped it a few hours later would it have made any difference to the outcome? No one knows but I doubt it.
ETA: not at all saying that justifies her keeping the love Island gig - just pointing out it’s not cut and dried how these things turn out

I literally can't get over the cringe of posting 'can't wait to see you' while you're banned from seeing each other via a restraining order because your partner beat you up... like have a modicum of self respect and respect for the legal process, the police and those who have been through/ are going through similar. Makes a mockery of it.

He pleaded guilty to the charges against him, she didn’t. He took help to correct his negative behaviours, she didn’t. And she didn’t lose her job, she removed herself from it. She was banned from contacting him because he is considered a potential victim in a domestic incident - perfectly normal and acceptable practice. And how do we know she had no support? Perhaps everyone involved tried to get her some help. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

He was treated for a head injury. There is no way he was lying at the time of the call. Domestic abuse cases are so difficult to get through CPS, if CPS is going a victimless prosecution then there must be enough evidence to secure a conviction. The CPS will not take a case even with a victim to court unless they are confident that there will be a conviction and it's in the public's best interest.
Again if it was a man who do this we wouldn't be having this conversation!

People like something to blame. I’ve seen comments such as the media have blood on their hands.
Suicide is a reaction to MH. When your livelihood and the livelihood of others is based on your image then it can’t be nice to see the negative headlines.
A frail sense of self worth is just another layer in the troubles.
A million likes can’t take away from the loneliness and the noise in your own head. It’s a sad situation but not as straight forward as one thing.
And with the people comparing her treatment to that of Ant M. It’s Apple and oranges.
He went to rehab, done his time, apologies and tried to make things better. The drinking driving incident and the DV are different due to intent. Both heinous though. Not detracting from the severity of what Ant done. Just trying to highlight the different in intent.
She didn’t. But I recon if she’d of gone to rehab and been acquitted she would of been welcomed back.
You’d of hoped she would of had a better support team around her and her management were safeguarding.

Men can and are the victims of domestic abuse.
If the police had any inkling that he had assaulted her they would’ve arrested him, even if that had been he was released with a caution or whatever. They charged her with assault and the CPS believe they have enough evidence to prosecute.
We’re all going on rumour, conjecture and their own weird social media posts, but what we do know is that SHE is the one who has been charged with a violent crime, not him. Regardless of whether he was cheating, texting, whatever, if the roles were reversed and he’d allegedly hit her over the head with a lamp, there would be no chance anyone would defend it.
It’s a classic legal tactic in DA cases-plead NG, see if the victim gives evidence & if not see if CPS continue with prosecution. In most cases the CPS will drop if victim doesn’t give evidence (despite there being guidelines to pursue a victimless prosecution).
However it seems CPS are pursuing the case, it appears there is additional evidence & she will struggle to be acquitted IMO.
I would expect her on the day of trial to plead guilty on a basis (eg she didn’t purposely hit him with a lamp but threw it, it him & injured him & on that basis she pleads G to common assault). You have to remember that the threshold for common assault is very low.

I doubt its people on a forum that's done it. More like she lost her job on Love island and was facing the court case and prob thought she would never work again.
She will probably get help at a clinic and “confess“ that she has a problem with alcohol and come back days later just in time for LI, with it all brushed under the carpet I could never find her likeable and definitely won’t now it will always be there, if he is covering for her to save her career, he is a fool. She is getting a bit old for the party girl persona and has nothing else to fall back on.

No family wants to deal with the trauma and bereavement of a family member choosing to die by suicide be it son, daughter, niece , nephew etc.

* Policeman at the scene describing it as being like a horror movie
* Bodycam footage will apparently be played in court; there must have something on it to back up the prosecution case
* Flack flipping over a table at the police station requiring her to be restrained on the ground (there will be footage of this too)

If there was more 'proof' that Flack is innocent then I'd have expected that to be presented to the court on Monday. I guess we'll have to wait in the trial in March for the evidence from the defence (assuming she doesn't change her plea before then).
By re-following each other, she's displaying how much contempt she has for the court and her bail conditions re: no contact. You can bet your arse they are private messaging each other like a couple of gushing teenagers, all heart emojis and 'ILYSM'.

This is a bit much in my opinion. I’m not defending her at all but I do get irritated by ‘trial by social media’ based on rumours and opinions when we’re supposed to have a system that is ‘innocent until proven otherwise’.
A mum from my children’s school was a victim of domestic abuse, unfortunately losing her life in the end. There were so many rumours about what happened, with so many different stories being talked about- half of which were absolute rubbish and made up. It was only when the full court case was completed that the whole story came out and everything that was happening behind closed doors from both parties was discussed and it shocked everyone. Of course, she didn’t deserve the outcome but there was a hell of a lot of issues from both sides.
Again, I’m not defending Flack as I have no idea of the full situation, but there will be so much more to this than we know so far so it isn’t up to people to make their minds up yet.
