This is really getting on my nerves lately. A lot of them are jumping on the mental health bandwagon and haven’t actually got a clue what having a real mental health problem is like
Devil's advocate here. There are a lot of YouTubers who outwardly appear to have the stuff together, but in reality are struggling or have struggled with mental illness. Some people don't feel comfortable sharing certain parts of themselves online. Also, mental illness affects people differently. Depression/suicidal ideations/etc. can come and go for a lot of people. Also, I'll level with you, I find a lot of these women's lives really sad and a bit pathetic. You'd have to be pretty desperate to sell your family life online to make a quick buck.

That’s the thing, I know because I was one of those women. Seemed to have everything so together, great life, holidays etc so everyone was absolutely gobsmacked when it was discovered that I had attempted suicide so trust me when I say I understand mental health a lot but with so many influencers talking about having anxiety it’s becoming more and more obvious that ‘anxiety’ seems to be becoming the next buzzword

Agreed these so called influencers act like they’re the best mothers , taking their kids to Disney World and the like , but as you say they’re selling their children’s childhoods for content and views , so in reality the people they are influencing are actually superior to them #irony

I agree. It would be nice if someone clued influencers in on the difference between feeling anxious about a certain situation and actually having anxiety. Same thing with having a down day verses having depression. I'm also over social media moms and their fake promotion of body positivity. Forgive me if I find it hard to take them seriously. What with their not-so-secret, secret cosmetic procedures, endless of amounts of time, money, not to mention #sponsored food memberships, gym memberships, and clothing hauls. I mean I don't know about the rest of you, but I just love it when people of privilege remind us how wonderful they are. Anybody know where I left my sick bag? :sneaky:

Most have probably diagnosed themselves by taking part in the Channel Mum’s Anxiety Quiz. Or they thought it would be a good "storyline" to make themselves a little more interesting and "raw". You've gotta do what you've gotta do to gain that lucrative CM sponsorship.

The body positivity stuff is hilarious. They’re mostly slim women who are pretty and fit that ‘social acceptance’ type how is that showing that women of ALL shapes and sizes should be proud of their bodies.....can anyone say bandwagon

She’s the type that would give her husband a blow job as a “treat” on his birthday and on his birthday only ?

She needs to stop feeding her kids such unhealthy food!!!
Emma tends to take a lot of things to the extreme. As a parent, I really admire the fact that she wants to make her children feel special and loved. But I'm not a fan of the way she does it. You don't have to chuck sweets and toys at your child for every little thing that comes along. But she's that way with herself.

I actually really like Emma, I think she's funny and clever and her relationship with her family / kids is very touching. What I don't like is the constant consumerism which is basically landfill - she certainly doesn't give many figs about plastic pollution. When those ice caps melt, she'll be floating away on some stationery no doubt.

I used to really like her, even went to a couple of her meets one summer way before she was famous ? now she makes me cringe, its all gone to her head and she literally takes everything to the extreme and is ridiculously ott with everything. Her constant moaning about the kids does my nut in, does she not think that when they are biggerthey may watch all this back and see how she speaks about them ?

What do they eat?
She doesn’t really post much about what they eat but when she’s foes it’s usually happy meals, Greggs sausage rolls or freezer food(pizzas, chips, chicken nuggets, fish fingers and repeat)

Does anyone else see the irony of having an online platform yet still excessively buying planners and stationary? I can understand the need for a work notebook and maybe a planner. But they make awesome apps now, most of which come pre-installed on phones and tablets, that all but eliminates the need for excessive amounts of paper waste. You can use an iPad or eReader for notes. I just find it all to be overkill. Not to mention expensive. They may buy most of it on sale but it all eventually adds up. I understand old methods but maybe just keep one main notebook and a backup.

TBH I still use an actual diary, work book, order book etc...I've had way too many computers/phones go wrong and lose it all, but that said I only have one of each, i don't see the need for for loads x
