I think Ricky Tomlinson played that beautifully! He's not cruel, he was angry and drunk and guilty and didn't know what to do with his feelings.

The new family - where is Gary "Growler" now? You'd never guess!

Yeah, like clockwork!
But he does make me laugh (Terry's Dad)

Yes, guilt, he was always down on Damon.

I remember quite a sad storyline coming down the line for Sammy, I liked the Rogers

I've missed a few weeks as I could not stand Pat, so I'm looking forward to my weekly treat again

God Pat was truly awful, so glad when he left!
I've googled the Sammy storyline, yep I remember now, very sad.

Going back to Damon's funeral, very strange they couldn't get hold of Karen, and she didn't show up, surely they could have shown a pretend phone call to her if the actress couldn't make it?

It was strange about Karen, they could have made an excuse rather than not being able to contact her at all

Did anyone else notice how Claire nearly got whacked on the head as Bobby carried her from the kitchen to the lounge?.
Poor girl!

I'd forgotten about Bobby and drink driving! He was awful to Barry, so is that Barry gone off again for a while!
Loved seeing them all waving at the end of xmas episodes!

I’ve just picked it back up again and it’s New Year’s Eve where sammy is baby sitting. I think I’ve got a fair few episodes til I’m caught up. I can’t wait for the jordaches! Anyway, why do they all stand and wave at the end? I don’t remember that haha

Poor Claire falling over on the way into house, Sheila was good to keep that scene going!

They’ve done that for every end of year episode so far. I think they keep it up for a while to come

Why was Chrissie hanging dry pillowcases out??
I can always believe Sheila, she is such a good actress, so different from Annabelle who seems to just simper all the time
Oh Mother! Oh Paul!

Also, Gordon really irritated me when I first watched but now he makes me laugh
Garden chairs in the.....Garden!!
And they are being so mean to Chris

My favourite character was Marie, I loved her but of course she's long gone now, though there are some cracking story lines coming up, I just loved her attitude

Ha i thought the same about the washing, didn't look at all wet!
Annabelle and Paul were mean to Chris just kicking him out like that, and Gordon was mean to, just going off to France!
Isn't it funny when you rewatch a show, I never used to like Marie, but I really miss her now!

It really does! Though I did and still think Harry Cross is a horrible grumpy old man who was so mean to Ralph!

Our Claire!!! Brookside royalty you were the first born in a storyline. Obviously you know that! I say this because when we first started watching at ours we mentioned the Grant baby storyline as one we remembered. Are you watching the old episodes?
Can't remember, did you have any lines in later episodes?
So many questions are you in touch with any of the original cast? Have you done any more TV work since? What are you doing these days?
I'll be reporting back to my husband later
