I whole heartedly believe if Bonnie had died when they weren't on the cruise she would talk about it much more than she does because it would get her more attention. Nut she knows full well if she kept banging on pretending to be sad, people would call her out and tell her she shouldn't have pissed off for 2 months when they knew she was old if she cared so much. She knows she would get some heat if she always mentioned Bonnie when they left her and she died whilst they were away but I bet if they were home when she died she would post about it a lot more to rack up the comments and likes.Just goes to show that even being away from their dog for 2/3 months on a cruise they were planning to leave her again sharpish if she hadn’t had died. Brogan does what Brogan wants and doesn’t give a duck about everyone else.
Not sure if you’ve been or not, I do think it’s an “each to their own” kind of thing, if we all liked the same things then the world would be dull and everyone would holiday in one place.I have a serious question because I just don't get Disney. So many people say that they love the parks/overreact at the parks because of the ~*nostaaalgiiiaa*~. Is that because of all the movies they watched as a kid or because they went to Disneyland for every holiday as a kid? If it's the former, wouldn't it be more nostalgic to just watch the movies again? And if it's the latter (and let's not unpick that one from what we know of Brogan's relationship with her parents...), why are there never any other places you went regularly as a kid that feel nostalgic, like the beach or Butlins or the town where your grandparents live? Or is it just nostalgia for a candy-coloured idealised commercialised childhood no one actually had?
I guess it could be a mixture of the two of nostalgia for the films/music and childhood trips. Or some people might be really into theme parks and rides in general, or they might go because they like seeing their kids enjoying the same characters and songs from their own childhood, or they might enjoy the escapism and getting away from the stresses of adulting and the serious side of life.I have a serious question because I just don't get Disney. Same! Been to Orlando 3 times as an adult and 2 times as a child (5 and 10 yo). I enjoy it as an escape but it’s definitely not an every year occurrence for me. Hell at 46 I’m still lucky if I have enough cash for one vacation a year. Two this year has tipped my budget so I won’t be going anywhere in 2025.Not sure if you’ve been or not, I do think it’s an “each to their own” kind of thing, if we all liked the same things then the world would be dull and everyone would holiday in one place.
I do enjoy Disney, mainly for the rides, food and shows, I don’t cry when visiting or cry at the castle and I’ve also only been three times (Orlando) and I don’t intend to go back anytime soon. I enjoy all sorts of holidays to all sorts of places really.
holidays weren’t something that I had as a child at all, although other children in my class did brag about Disney. I guess it’s the escapism largely that appeals. It’s just a day of fun really from the normal stresses.
I don’t know why some people are obsessed. I do think with Brogan she seems very infantile and unable to accept being an adult.
In Brogans defence (I’m sorry ), I went to WDW with my parents most years as a child, - I didn’t go to Butlins or any beaches, my holidays were WDW with my family so getting upset (teary eyes, not full on crying) / nostalgic when entering the parks is completely normal for me. I get it completely, although she’s recently jumped on the Disney bandwagon so she’s just a bleepI have a serious question because I just don't get Disney.
