I absolutely love black out it’s such a fantastic album and tbh I’m still quite surprised Her label let her release it because they didn’t let her release Mona Lisa. Maybe they were desperate for new material.
This resonates with me too! I’m the wrong side of 30, have a stable job, a great relationship, our own home etc etc but Britney stands out from other pop stars - we grew up with her but she was never bratty, had a brilliant work record, and has undoubtedly been screwed over by the people that were meant to look after herIt’s so strange because pretty much everyone who worked on black out said how professional and normal/sweet she was whilst making the album. I do honestly think Britney had postnatal depression and a break down and all that mixed with dipolar not a good mixbut that does not mean she should be in this terrible heartbreaking situation. I will always root for Britney, she was my everything growing up. I love her. It may sound so stupid and I get it but I am a grown woman, I have a good job 2 beautiful girls, I own a beautiful home. I have it together, I’m just so passionate about this and I just know this is not right!!

Yes everyone is so sad when I explain what she’s going throughI can relate too. I wouldn’t even call myself a mega fan, but I love a lot of her music, and really like her as a person. I love pop music and she’s an icon of the genre.
And like everyone’s said better than I could, she’s a genuinely good person, you wouldn’t blame her if she’d become bitter but she never has a bad word to say about anyone. No one I know in real life if really interested in talking about Britney, its why I’m glad about this thread! Although when I explain the situation she’s in now to people, they’re genuinely shocked and gutted for her.
The mention of Mona Lisa reminded me, I wish Original Doll had been released, I would love so much to hear music with more of her creative control.

The main points are:
- She first officially expressed her desire to end the conservatorship to the judge in 2014
- By 2016 in her own words Britney describes the conservatorship as "oppressive and controlling"
- She describes a time when she was forced to perform with a 40 degree temperature (fans have since found the video of her on stage when she says "I'm sick right now, I have a 104 fever!"). Britney describes it as "the scariest moment of her life"
- Five years ago she says she wants the c-ship terminated ASAP as she is "sick of being taken advantage of" and making money for everyone around her
- She describes wanting to refurbish her kitchen cabinets and being refused because "too much money is being spent". The same documents outline that Britney who is worth $60million was given a weekly budget of $2k. $850,000 was spent on court bills.
- In 2019 she told the court she was forced to stay in rehab against her will as punishment after refusing to perform
Weeks later her Vegas residency was cancelled and Britney hasn't worked a single day since. It's been two years and eight months since Britney has performed or worked.

What times it happening at in UK time?Today’s the day....I really do hope that because the whole world is watching it is going to make some kind of difference. She’s been fighting privately for a long time to get out of this but now literally everywhere and everyone is talking about it surely that’s got to change something for her?
