How can he drink like that when he has a baby to mind all day tomorrow when auther is at work. No doubt he will go to the sisters tomorrow for dinner and more drink

I'm more concerned going in holiday with Blake unless Aoife is going too I doubt Aurther would be going with his work commitments, holidays with kids are a kot different to no responsibility holidays

Why would someone need that amount of drink.....? To be dependent on it, my dad's a functioning achocloic (hate that term)

Blake is staying with Arthur, Brian wouldn't be bringing the child away it would interfer with his drinking

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I think Brian is a terrible, irresponsible parent.
I can't comprehend the amount he socialises and drinks with a newborn. Passing the baby off to his family is a joke.

Maybe he should focus on his driving licence rather than spending his money boozing.

He somehow gets away with it because he’s a bit extra and a gay man. If he was the father in a straight couple and was off boozing this much when the mother didn’t even drink, people would be saying he’s an alcoholic

I’m not sure they would. I know when I had my baby, my family were very concerned that my husband was getting out enough and still going to matches etc. They never asked if I got a break from the baby. I think it’s a very Irish thing to make sure the man is ok at all times and turn a blind eye to any excessive drinking.

I’m not defending Brian by the way. I think he comes across as someone who’s life hasn’t changed one iota since having a baby. But my husband was the exact same. I think he started bonding with my son when he was about 1. And I’ve heard similar from other women. Hopefully Brian will change and enjoy Blake more as she gets older.

I have to agree with you. If a woman too was socialing this much she'd be ostracised.

Considering neither of them have steady or permanent jobs you'd think he'd want to save his money?
