Breast feeding

And I have to disagree there too. There is lots of support for breast feeding, sure its all thats pumped at new mums. I note you say you have nothing but sympathy for mums "who TRIED but couldn't feed"? So the others who decided not to ,are not worth mentioning. They aren't proper mothers? Whats your view on natural v caesarian birth? I suppose women who dont give birth naturally are not in your mummy brigade either, or couldnt possibly bond the same way?
I don't have a mummy brigade please don't make this something it's not.
I said earlier back in this feed openly, I cant quite comprehend why if someone knew the benefits why they wouldn't try.
No judgements on birth, parenting or bonding , il leave that up to you to make snarky comments and assumptions πŸ˜‰, you're good at it.

Breastfeeding support from
NHS seems to be a bit of a postcode lottery. All funding has been cut in my region. However as this thread clearly demonstrates, peer support from
Other women and family is not there. "Just give a bottle" seems to be the answer to any bumps in the road and it's the last thing many mums want to hear.

But you are judging! Why do you care how someone feeds their baby? Its a personal decision and one which has got zero all to do with you personally!! It is none of your business!!

And if I make snarky comments its because you keep going ooonnn and oonnn. You made your point. We ALL know you say breast is best. Youre wonderful. I get it. Im a failure lol. My 24 22 20 and 18 year olds are all sadly lacking because I did not feed them myself. My bad .

Agreed it's none of my business but this is a platform for open discussion and debate and we all have opinions , yourself included. Nothing wrong with expressing them as long as you don't make assumptions, they are kept respectful and non judgemental - take note.

But you are being judgemental. Plus now you are telling me off like a child. You really take the biscuit lol

πŸ˜‚ as do you.
For the record not calling you a failure and I'm sure your children are wonderful.
Wow. They are. But I reckon you need a job or something. You're far too invested in trying to tell Strangers how things should be done.
Now I dont know about you but I have a life. And a job to go to. Thank goodness these forums etc were not in existance when mine were babies. I actually had to go out and socialise with real people and interact with my family unlike so many online these days lol.
And for the record, there is no response needed nor expected or indeed wanted to this statement. Its a general observation not requiring an answer from you. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜€

There you are making assumptions again.
Pot.kettle.black.
Good day to you!

Depending on position and age of child breastfeeding generally leaves me with one free hand to use my phone, which is obviously the main reason I choose to continue πŸ˜†

Imagine the shoe was on the other foot - God forbid your child had a minor illness and needed medical treatment or a prescription paid for by tax payers and somebody said to you "waste of resources that could have been prevented if you had breastfed." Your comment is unacceptable either way and "purely disgusting."
I'd be over the moon if all he had going for him was a minor illness. Poor lad is on his 2nd open heart surgery and more in future and hes only 5. However birth defects have tit to do with breastfeeding, so my point is moot. But does explain WHY I detest seeing resources wasted on those who don't need it. Admission back to hospital for help with breast feeding is bullshit when there are babies in the next bed suffering with real illness.

Theres no way the other mum was acting in her kids best interest trying to force breastfeeding. She was practically starving her own child being too stubborn to give a bottle. I thought when you had kids you put then first not ridiculous social ideals.

This is why people need to keep their opinions to themselves, you never know peoples circumstances.

Toppsie, so sorry to hear about your lad's condition. I wish him a successful and speedy recovery.

Thanks! I say on his second, it was nearly 2 years ago since his last. But medication etc. is all ongoing and will through his life. Cardiac life is just normal life!

But yes, I've frantically called ambulances when recessions start, I've sat in waiting rooms for 8 hours waiting for surgeons to give good news, I've spent all night in intensive care. The NHS is so stretched, every bed, every pair of hands, all counts. In my sons intensive care, the nurse told me they were short of vital machines they needed to fundraise for because no budget left.

People need these services more than stupid women who push for breastfeeding. That's what home visits are for with midwives. If your child has needed to be admitted because you're a stubborn twit, it shouldn't be nurses involved it should be social services.

Let’s keep the arguments to a minimum 😬

Everyone can have an opinion,
attacking each other with the Tommee Tippee isn’t necessary πŸ˜‰
