Any Rachel Gillig fans here?
I read her One Dark Window/Two Twisted Crowns duology earlier this year and loved her writing.
I have just started her other duology, with The Knight and The Moth, and the new release The Knave and The Moon is sitting on my shelf ready for reading straight after. I am halfway through The Knight and The Moth and again I love her writing.
I love the gargoyle
Her descriptions are vivid and flow really easily, I think. And her stories are around 350 pages so not too long. I do enjoy longer fantasies sometimes but it is refreshing to read a story that is resolved in duology format, with both books being around 350 pages. Sometimes a longer series can be an epic slog (even if they are enjoyable).
I think I will look out for more fantasy duologies, going forward.
