Can anyone give me the tips to find the kindle deals? I’ve had my kindle for 18months, still read physical books in majority but I’ve found this year that reading on kindle is motivating me to read more!! And joining this thread and the book club thread has given me incentives and ideas for tbr!!
There’s a few bookish accounts on on insta & tik tok that post them…theres a particular one on insta who posts the kindle daily deals aswell. I think I can post the account as it has over 16k followers? welshbookfairy is her @ on insta x

Hi books thread! It’s been more than 3 years since I was active, aka since my daughter’s birth. But I really am trying to get back into physical books. I listen to a lot of audio books. Anyway.
Has anyone finished Yesteryear yet? I devoured it. Had no clue what it was (time off from the bookosphere and all) and saw a short on yt that stated the premise and immediately went to buy it. Started it Thursday on a train from the UK and finished it tonight. Would love to discuss

or maybe I already missed the discussion
Mine arrives tomorrow!
Ordered it from Waterstones with a voucher I had. Can’t wait to dive in

I have a wishlist of kindle books and sort by price low to high and get the deals

You will also get alerts for price drops but doesn't always work

Am I right in thinking that phyl’s son Freddie is the father of Abi’s daughter?

who is Sadie the daughter named after ?

how did abi’s father and sister die ?

Ref 99p deals - There are also Instagram pages or Facebook groups which post of 1st of each month which I find handy. I think the Instagram I follow is story.edit (or something like that)

Any regency romance readers? (What absolutely awful alliteration!) I really enjoy Rosalyn Landors narration and i’ve recently discovered a few of Mary Balogh’s narrated by Rosalyn Landor on Libby. I’m listening to Simply Unforgettable and I love it so much! A prim schoolteacher with a past and a Viscount end up snowed in an inn together 👀 and you’ll never guess what happens next 😄
Yes! I love historical regency romances! I like to collect some of the classic clinch covers too.

Mary Balogh is great! One of my favourite modern HR authors is Tessa Dare but she's not published in a while (I think due to health issues) & I am very excited for if/when she does return. Her Spindle Cove series is completely though and I would highly recommend.

The subreddit r/historicalromance is really great for finding recommendations too. People ask about tropes they like (like the snowed in, one bed etc!) and there's always good suggestions.

I didn’t know this was a thing! How do you download it? (Not that I need access to any more books given the number of unread ones already on my Kindle 🙈)
Unfortunately you can't get libby library books on a kindle in the UK. It is very annoying! They can in the States. Other ereaders like Kobo or Boox do have the funtionality though! With Boox it's an app and with Kobo you need to use the Adobe Reader app on your computer to transfer I believe.

I only needed to use the adobe app the first time, and otherwise my kobo downloads library loans automatically! It will only connect to one library though, in case anyone has multiple cards

I just finished it last week. Loved the premise, but was disappointed by the ending. It felt very heavy handed and like the author didn’t trust the reader’s comprehension skills. That said, it’s the first book in a while that I’ve been excited to keep reading.

I read Lost Lambs before that. I enjoyed it, but it felt really long even though it’s a short book!

Ah ok, that’s why I didn’t know about it! You’re right, it is annoying though!

Oh thank you, I love both snowed in and one bed 🙈 oh and love triangles! I will definitely download Spindle Cove series! I’ve got Georgette Heyers the Corinthian next on my list!

totally agree! I absolutely loved it and devoured it and couldn’t stop thinking about it, but was disappointed by the ending / last 8th or 10th. I had a feeling it was going that way but I just really hoped it wouldn’t. And you’re exactly right — felt like she didn’t think we had the skills to get it. All that said, I loved it.

Has anyone here read Water Moon? I’m reading it for a book club and it’s pretty dull
