I didn't really like the film, it's probably because it's not really my kind of film. But like you say Paul Mescalyes! wonderful acting and music, but i did feel similar to the book in that it was manipulating me to feel sad rather than just letting me feel the emotions organically (i think that was my main issue with the book!) paul mescal though
Finished my book at work today 
I loved The Island. The previous book group I went to at my library hated it. Well anyone who got a chance to talk as there were a couple of people who liked the sound of their own voice too much
Hahaha sameeee!! Someone commented on one of JD Kirk’s tik toks of who he’d like to play Jack if it was ever a series, I can’t remember who he said but I’ll have a look for it again and get back to you!I feel like the series just gets better with each book. I think I am crushing on Jack

I usually have no idea what’s going on for a bit and it feels like I’ve just been thrown into the middle of a scene but then there’s a line of a piece of dialogue which clarifies mostly everything or just hooks me in.
The first chapter specifically was weirdly relatable with the way the character was processing trauma

I'm a couple of hours into listening to Project Hail Mary and I'm absolutely loving it! The narrator is really good.

I’ve started the audio book of Project Hail Mary today! I read the book in 2023 and loved it but want to do a reread before seeing the film. The narrator really is great! He’s so clear and makes you want to keep listening. I normally up the speed when I listen to audiobooks but I’m loving his natural pace.

I just got books 2 and 3 of the Nevernight trilogy. After pausing on book 1 I picked it up again this week and loved it so I had to get them
I never realised how good the Miss Read books were until I started reading Storm in the Village. By heck I am now hooked.

I think I've got them all. Must have had some for thirty or forty years.
Along the way I discovered that the late Paula Yates was a big fan and wanted them to be made into a series.
I have started The Strength of the Few, finally! It's a lot, I'm struggling with all the different worlds, especially Caeror's. I'm only about 200 pages in, so I need to give it time I think!
It's a lot. Definitely a book that needs a re-read.
the world expansion definitely takes some getting your head around and understanding everything going on. Stick with it. It's worth it. But yes, it is a lot.
