Book Club #3 Reading is life
Continue here. Book to read for June is My Husband by Maud Ventura, suggested by @Caffeine Fiend who won by a landslide https://tattle.life/threads/book-club-2.36895/tattle.life
A poster on this thread suggested I went back to re read a book I had really enjoyed, I did help somewhat. Last year I had a terrible reading year, then this year back reading with a vengeance. No idea what clicked or changed, it just did. I sympathise as book doldrums isn’t fun.I haven’t read since January I don’t know why I just can’t seem to start![]()
Is it like Paige toon level ofJust finished Jill Mansell's latest - Just One Look At You.
Says it will take readers on a rollercoaster of emotions - you're not kidding!! Luckily no one was around to witness it so I could bawl to my hearts content. Otherwise I know there would have been massive eye rolls.
Another 5 star read.

looking forward to this - i’ve loved his other two books and i’m interested that this one seems to be such a change of setting for him.Just saw on IG Douglas Stuart is doing a really big tour when his new book comes out. All over the UK and Ireland and then off to North America and Europe (Europe dates tbc). In Nashville he’ll be in conversation with Ann Pachett which I think would be very cool! (And Lauren Groff in Gainesville, Florida!)
I remember a lot of tattlers loved his two previous novels. I’m a baby and haven’t read them yet because I’m worried I’ll just cry all the way through. But I think I want to read this new one!

ETA. I've now moved on to Erica James latest - The Forever Home. Describes itself as an uplifting read, so I might be able to hold off with the bawling on this book![]()
I'm struggling too! Finding it hard to get into books at the moment. Got to start leaving my phone in another room, because I think that's half my issueJust finished ‘and now, back to you’ by BK Borison. It took me nine days to read it, I don’t know what’s happened! I used to get through a half decent book in 3-4 days but I’m really struggling lately!
it was… fine. Not great.
