Wow how did you know it was a fake? It’s cheaper on Amazon for Black Friday - £11.44. I had to do a second order and return the first as I paid £18 for mine!!

It didn’t have a hard cover and then this sticky label on the outside gave it away.

I love the cover for the new Maggie O'Farrell novel and the blurb looks right up my alley but because with big name authors they announce so far in advance I have to wait till June 2026 to read it! bah.

Oh yes that’s suspicious. I had noticed on TikTok it wasn’t a hard back but I just assumed that was why it was much cheaper and it was published just for TikTok.

I know! I preordered in the last Waterstones discount offer, so I'm relieved I like the cover and the synopsis but the waiting is a bore; I would like to read this now!

I heard a trick for this, if you try going back into the list and selecting a different book as read, add the date, but then delete it from your shelf. That made my bookmark appear for a different list when it glitched.

I didn’t quite do this - I changed the read dates of another qualifying book I read last month - but gave me the idea to try a different book!

I read the book a few years ago and have just finished the audiobook - you will love it!

The day before yesterday I finished The Ink Black Heart and now going to start Running Grave today. Should get up to date on the series by the end of the year. Also got a KU membership in black Friday deals so will get my fix on KU romance.

Can't answer for the trick with audible - but libro.fm often does deals for credits and memberships, and has a great 'shop small' sale on at the moment, with audiobooks like Blue Sisters, Remarkably Bright Creatures, and Tom Lake available - most are under £4.

I've not been a member for maybe 6 or more months, I wonder if they had it set up where more recent cancellations weren't eligible?
