finished good spirits: adorable. everyone saving it for a festive read is in for a very sweet treat. it’s not perfect and the magic building could do some work but it has such a lovely lead couple and i got all emotional at the end 🎄
Oh this has got me excited ! I’m saving it for Xmas week. I’m starting The Christmas Book Club tonight

I saw this when I went to see Wicked For Good.. not sure what I think. Moonface isn’t Moonface… he’s Moonhair.. 🫣
I’m a bit unsure about the modern day context and the worlds look much more complex than I imagined them to be but that might not be a bad thing!

I'm going to read A Wrinkle in Time even though I know I'm much, much older than the target audience.

It's a big plot point in Stranger Things 5 so I want to be in the know with the references a bit more before the rest of the episodes air.

How is everyone's Goodread's challenges going? My goal was 52 and I am currently 23% through book 48. It is The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig and I am really enjoying it so far. I'm hopeful I can read 4 more books before the end of the year to reach my 52.

I’m terrible, I’m about 18 books behind. I really shouldn’t set a goal of 100

read 81 of 70! though have come to almost a complete stop this month 🫠

reading pole position right now for some formula 1 romance and am intrigued that she has changed the names of everything for legal reasons and yet fernando alonso still exists 🤣

50/36, I’ve really tried to get through some of the older ones on my kindle this year (I blame Amazon first reads) but only managed to do 11 of them.

How do other people like to kindle - have loads of unread ones in their library to choose from, or keep it minimal?

As a F1 fan i'll have to add this to the list.

oh it is Not Very Good 🤣 it just made me laugh that she was so careful with the trademark and never refers to it as f1 once and then BAM fernando is there!

if you want an f1 romance i would recommend both of simone solanti’s books; i really enjoyed them and she genuinely likes the sport. and the second one is basically george russell fanfiction if you’re into that which i am.

loads to choose from! i’ve only had a kindle for about two months and already have way too many books on there 🤣 also majority with men in various states of historical dress or undress on the covers so it’s hard to tell them apart 😇

I’m at 50/60 😭 I knew I shouldn’t have set it so high this year! I’m not going to force myself to complete it as I just don’t have the time!
I might squeeze in some 99p kindle romances in the haze between Christmas and new years!

I’m half way through book 62 of a 50 target. It’s the most I’ve ever read in a year and currently on a beach holiday with nothing to do but read so it will go up by a few more before I’ve finished!

I also set at pages read goal on StoryGraph, to try and encourage me to read longer books without worrrying about my book target! Currently read 23,244 of a 24,000 target so should reach that by the end of the year too.

I sometimes find it really difficult to settle on a book (like right now, I'm about to abandon Good Spirits because I'm a third in and I don't think it's working for me 😬), so I like to have a lot of choice. I'm definitely all about comfort reads at the moment.

I'm at 244 from 250 so I better get cracking.
