I'll be finishing my book today, can you help me pick which book to read next please. Here's the list of what's currently available from my reading list, happy to hear any other recs but I am limited to what my library has!

Aphrodite - Phoenicia Rogerson
Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil - V E Schwab
The Cabin at the End of the World - Paul Tremblay
The Silence Factory - Bridget Collins
Close Your Eyes and Count to 10 - Lisa Unger
Out of that list I’m so keen to read bury our bones in the midnight soil so I’d vote that!

I'm slogging throught Another Bloody Christmas. Fellow bookmates, don't get tempted into buying this just 'cos it's £5 in Asda - like me. 🤦‍♀️

Same as LaBlonde I was underwhelmed by The Silence Factory, so not that one. Haven't read any of the others though.

Came here to ask if anyone else is reading this atm because I am STRUGGLING. I’m 40 percent in and hardly anything has happened!

oh no, it's on my TBR and I loved the first book last year. But by 40% in, stuff should be happening!

I know! Gutted because I really enjoyed the first one aswell! I may come back to it. But at the moment I’m finding it really boring!

finished good spirits: adorable. everyone saving it for a festive read is in for a very sweet treat. it’s not perfect and the magic building could do some work but it has such a lovely lead couple and i got all emotional at the end 🎄

I’m around halfway through and actually opened this thread to ask you a very specific question.. did you find yourself wanting a peppermint mocha and/or candy cane while reading this book? Because I was definitely on the Starbucks app earlier to see if they had mint syrup..

I'm two thirds in, and still nothing has happened!! It's so pedestrian and I'm sorry to say, boring. The plot just isn't working being set away from home.

I’m a bit obsessed with good spirits. I read it over three days, cried my eyes out, couldn’t stop thinking about it. Picked it up again the next day and read it a second time. Cried even more. I found it so lovely, I’m trying to resist reading it a third time! I’ve read five books since then and none of them have compared.
