I can recommend The Christmas Book Club by Sarah Morgan. It has the cosy, snowy Christmas feel with the added bonus of a book club theme!

I read that two years ago and The Christmas Cottage last year. It is now tradition for me to read at least one Sarah Morgan Christmas book each year 😂 especially since I picked two up at the charity shop over the summer! This year will be The Christmas Escape. I also have Snowed In For Christmas. I very nearly got her newly released one (All together for Christmas at the library but it wouldn’t let me check it out as someone had put it on hold so I had to hand it in. But I’ll try again soon!

If you enjoy light thrillers, I'd recommend the Alex Pine series. They're set around Christmas time and are easy, enjoyable reads.

Same here, im not exactly in a slump but busy moving house, which happens tomorrow.its been hard to find time to read but I hit my target in August too, but have slowed down massively since.

I love the Sarah Morgan books.

I hit my reading target in about July - 52 books which is always my target and previously only ever hit it once - am really trying to get to 100 books now by the end of the year but got about 14 more to go so its unlikely. But despite having read more than ever - I've not read a single one on the Good reads nomination list ......but have obviously added more to my wish list :rolleyes: :ROFLMAO:

Ahh, I have one left on the hidden books quiz (I got to 14 and then found some hints), and two of them are Tattle's least favourites!

(Stuck on the seasons one if anyone has already got that!)

I also cast my votes in the Goodreads Awards and found I’d only actually read about 5 books across all the catergories.

I sometimes think a lot of the nominees are pretentious titles. There were actually a couple I’ve read this year and a couple more I own

I’ve heard of loads of the books in the GR awards and a lot of them are on my TBR. I’m just never up to date with reading new releases. So I haven’t really read any of them

It feels like 5 mins since I last read Christmas books and now I'm planning my DEC TBR again 😱 what the heck... Where did the year go?!

I'm going to read Not Another Bloody Christmas by Jo Middleton, as I loved her first book Happy Bloody Christmas. I am still browsing for some more for this year.

Last year I also read two of Denzil Meyrick's Frank Grasby Christmas murder mysteries and I enjoyed them. He died this year though, and Amazon suggests his 3rd Grasby book will be out in 2027. I assume he wrote a manuscript yet to be edited and published.

I’m doing the same. Bought the second one yesterday and quite looking forward to getting to December to start it.

I’ve also bought this. I think I’ll also read The Christmas Appeal, and Ways to Kill your Family at Christmas. I’m planning to read them all in December.

Also considering The 12 Deaths of Christmas as an advent book.
