No way will I hit my Goodreads challenge this year. It’s been a really bad year for the amount of books I’ve read. Just no mojo (still reading Polo Jilly Cooper and I started it more than a month ago) Though the books I have read have been mostly 4/5 stars, so that’s a positive

I'm also away from my challenge but i wonder how the.pages compare to previous years as some of the books this year were long. I forgot to update storygraph this year.
One thing that i don't understand about goodreads is why it doesn't have a way to see total pages read when clearly the books display the number of pages?! Simply give me a report? Unless there's a way to see it and I'm just dumb

I can't give a top reads list, I am just getting back in to it after a looong time where I havnt been bothered.
But next year my resolution is to read a book a week (this is a lot for me).

I also really liked Briar Club and Nesting, definitely top 10.
I just looked at my StoryGraph ratings graph and noticed I’ve rated 34/80 4.5 stars or above.. not sure if I’ve been selective this year, got lucky with my choices or been too generous with my ratings!
Also a fan of Wedding People! (And have read a few Elsie Silver’s this year.. I want to finish chestnut springs before the end of the year).I’m loving everyone’s Top Reads lists

Ive just counted mine its 31/128 so I need to get better at choosing books I like!
My favourite of the year so far (which admittedly hasn't been a year I've read an awful lot) is The Feast by Margaret Kennedy. Recently republished by Faber.

The Strength of the Few has arrived. Reluctant to start it before I can give it a chunk of time. Also half way through listening to The Rose Field
I'm finding I'm having to listen to it in chunks, sometimes it's getting a bit much for me and I have to go away from it for a while. Not really sure why - maybe too many parallels with the real world at the moment. Also having hit 40 and not having done things in my life I expected to some of the theorising about imagination and possibilities of other worlds is making me massively over think. I think the magic going out of the world is something I'm still experiencing for various reasons so the threat to an imaginary world is giving me feels. The magisterium bits are triggering something, as it's mostly after those I need a break.

If you like murder mysteries @BoogleC I would recommend these 2 books Murder at Melrose Court by Karen Baugh Menuhin and Mystery in White by J. Jefferson Farjeon.
If you like romance I would suggest Bella's Christmas Bake Off by Sue Watson, Christmas at Carly's Cupcakes by Jessica Redland and Winter Wishes in the Scottish Highlands by Donna Ashcroft.

I'm exactly the same. I hit my target in late August and have hit an awful slump. I was very unwell for quite a while but haven't wanted to read a book since I've recovered.
If you enjoy light thrillers, I'd recommend the Alex Pine series. They're set around Christmas time and are easy, enjoyable reads.
It's on my list to watch. I wasn't a massive fan of the book as some others but still interested in watching it. I know there were some others here that really loved the book
I've just finished All Wrapped Up by Heidi Swain which I really enjoyed....
ETA it's about the ber months - not Christmas.
I'm currently still listening to an audio reading of Entitled.
I noticed that the reader has posted a video saying " Finally! An amazing celebrity memoir!" About the Jennette McCurdy book you're always banging on about. I'll have to have a listen if she's doing that next.
