Oh I loved it so. But I can see why it might be a grower, it’s a slow read.

I'm a 150 pages in, and enjoying it.
I'm flitting between three books - Sally-Ann by Noel Stretfield under her Susan Scarlett pseudonym about a shop girl who appears by chance in a high society wedding. I'm listening to Absent in the Spring by Agatha Christie, under her Mary Westmacott pseudonym. I thought she only wrote romances under this name, but this one is very introspective.
Then I've got The Raven Scholar which I'm really enjoying but which is around 600 pages so I need to devote some proper time to finishing it! I'm about halfway through. It's an illumicrate version so have to be careful reading it.

I couldn't get into it the first time I tried it, then I went for the audiobook (narrated by the author with his Irish accent) and it worked a treat. Just so different! i imagine that it’s much more fun in audio! i’m enjoying it but you can tell that being able to hear the dialect would add so much. i might try and listen to it!
I'm reading Storm in a C cup by Caroline Flack. Not really sure why I bought it, but it's my S book for the A-Z challenge and been on my kindle for years
I’m still reading The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. I’m really enjoying it, I read The nightingale a couple of years ago, and really enjoyed it. Read The Women earlier this year and thought it was ok. But I really like the story and main character of The Great Alone
Happy to say i seem to be getting out of my slump..Really devouring My Name Is Emilia Del Valle by Isabel Allende... I don't like historical fiction but there's something about her books/writing that I really enjoy.. when I finish that tonight it's onto the upcoming Ocean Vuong
I used to love reading, but since having kids (9 years ago) I've found it really hard and have only read a few books. The only ones I've read are by Paige Toon. I like just a modern easy to follow chic lit style. Can anyone recommend any other authors that are the same style?
You learn something new every day. I loved Noel Streatfeild books when I was young, and still pop on to a couple of them to read read now and again (White Boots and Curtain Up my favourites) but I had NO idea she wrote under a pseudonym! Off to check this out!
I used to love The Children on The Top Floor when I was a kid. Made even more nostalgic because it was my Nans book and I would read it during my week in the summer at her house. I'm always looking for it in charity shops.
Not much reading happening here this weekend with F1 on and the Eurovision. Also randomly bought myself a puzzle book when out shopping this week and been doing that when I’ve had a few spare moments 
Marble Hall Murders by Anthony Horowitz, and These Old Shades by Georgette Heyer.
Enjoying both, one as hardback and one as ebook.
