I’ve just finished ACOTAR. I know lots of people say it isn’t their favourite and to power through but I actually really enjoyed it. Rhysand 🥵

I was going to have a break and read something else next but I’m moving straight onto ACOMAF.

I just finished Graham Norton’s Frankie. Fantastic
I read it last week and did really enjoy it but I did find myself rolling my eyes early on at how easily everything worked out for her when she was faced with a crisis…and more than once! In a new country with no job? No worries, just go to a party and a complete stranger will offer you one without knowing anything about you or your experience! Stranded in a foreign country with no plane ticket home? That’s ok, you don’t need one because another random stranger will take you in & fall in love with you!

I'd just looked a few days ago on his website to see if there was a release date update. And nothing.

But finally! I'm so ready for this.

I shall time my re-read of the first one around this being released.

Honestly cannot wait for this. I just loved the first one so much!
I'm excited for a re-read and I never re-read books! Still waiting for the paperback though....

I did the same and thought where is the March update James??

Excited!

Although they changed the covers I hope they’ve kept the spine design similar to WOTM.

Books in a series that don't have consistent spine/cover designs absolutely pisses me off. Spine more so than cover because of what I can see on the shelf.

I’m reading The Woman Who Lied by Claire Douglas, it’s a slow burner but I am enjoying it a lot. I was getting bored of reading thrillers told in the POV of the police and detectives so this has been a decent read so far as it’s from the POV of an author

same! it drives me crazy, i need them all to match!! even the fact that the cover is different is annoying me, the first one was so striking to look at.

It was the cover that first caught my eye on the Waterstones app for TWOTM

I started Powerless last night. I don't think I am enjoying it as much as the first two. Woupd you recommend the last two?

I feel maybe I have overdone it by reading them right after one another. I did start a different book yesterday but I didnt grab me and the Chestnut Spring's books are so easy to read.
I think it very much depends on what type of characters you like. I really enjoyed Powerless because I like the silent type with a bad past that have gone through sh!t. I’ve read each one in 3/4 days, they’re very easy to read so can’t remember specific details of each individual book apart. Half way through hopeless and enjoying it because everyone’s being nasty to Bailey because of her family so she’s going through a tough time and Beau’s struggling with his PTSD - think I’m just a sucker for characters going through pain.

Maybe we could do a simultaneous thread re-read of TWOTM ready for the next one coming out! I’m tempted to book the day off work 🫣😂

I'm 70% through Powerless. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the controlling sex scenes and the choking during sex. I'm not sure the friends to lovers trope is for me either.

I might give the other 2 a go but after a bit of a break.

Ive read so many romance series and there are always certain books in a series I dont care for. In some series Ive seen me only really enjoying one out of four.

Chestnut Springs I loved Willa and Cade and Theo and Winter. Beau and Bailey were ok as were Jasper and Sloane. Really didnt like book one.

Twisted series. Loved Briget and Rhys. The other three books I didnt care for at all. The third wasn't terrible but not my thing. The fourth was about 200 pages too long. Christian was awful.

Any recommendations of books that are really going to make me laugh? I want something light hearted and funny to get my reading spark back again!
