Is anyone else going to be reading Sunrise on the Reaping when it comes out tomorrow?

Some Kindle Unlimited books have a headphones symbol next to them. Does this mean the audiobook is included or is it a text to speech AI reading the book?
The ones I've listened to have always been audio. I've listened to a fair few this way.

The audiobook, which was a pleasant surprise!

My free trial ends in a few days and I wasted it by not trying to get through all my KU downloads. I'm considering paying for one month because it's not a bad deal with the added audiobooks.

I've been a bit MIA from this thread lately but my reading has been steady this month so far! I raced through The Wild Robot series - even though it's a children's series I thought it was so charming! I also read Listen for the Lie and enjoyed that too.

I should really read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes which has been on my shelf for longer than I'd like to admit... I've pre-ordered Sunrise on the Reaping but it's going to my mum's house instead of mine 😫 so I won't be reading that any time soon.

I know there are a lot of Prima Facie fans on here. They are doing a tour next year! I’m definitely going to try and get tickets.

I read this yesterday!

Absolutely mental!! I felt bad for Liv at the end, yeah they probably won't be charged, yeah she was a witch, but she hadn't really done anything wrong that needed to 'punished' and she's lost everything - fair play to her though for blackmailing them! I was also gutted that Margot died tbh, feels a bit wrong to kill her so soon after her baby was born, I'm sure she would have reverted to type, but give her a chance at least!! I hope Anna gets caught, she went too far!! I enjoyed it overall though.
I enjoyed it but it was just all so mental! I love a good twist but I’m really not sure if there were just too many twists.
Liv didn’t do anything to warrant being framed for murder at all, unless I’ve forgotten any key plot points. If anyone, it should have been Margot! I must say, I shrieked out loud when I realised Margot was dead at the end. I totally didn’t see that one coming.
Anna needs to get her comeuppance definitely. Yes she was a victim of a huge crime as a child but that doesn’t warrant mass murder.
I definitely wanted more of bonfire night, for it to be such a huge plot of the story it seemed to be over really quick.

I definitely enjoyed it but it took me much longer to read than a John Marrs book normally does. Usually I’ll race through in 1-3 days but this took me 10 days, I was keen to know what happened but not racing through going “one more chapter!” on repeat.

I’m going to finish my current book (The Psychopath Next Door) then get it. I’m so excited for it! I’m hoping I’ll be done by the weekend.

i preordered it. it should be delivered tomorrow. i loved the hunger games when i was a teenager

on another note, i just read the hitchcock hotel. the first half of the book was the looooongest intro i think i’ve ever read in my life. absolutely nothing happened. philosophical ramblings on every other page. really not sure why i finished it tbh

I haven't done this in a while so I hope it still works - download the KU books you want and then put your kindle into airplane mode, and you'll be able to read them after the trial has ended. The kindle needs to stay offline while you get through them thought!

The last 3 books I read have all been heavy with two set during WW2 and one set during the Troubles. I decided to go for something light for my next read and I picked the first book in Elsie Silver's Chestnut Spring series. It is such an easy and fun read and I am really enjoying it. It is nice to mix it up.
I started the Chestnut Spring series last week! Had read a lot of thrillers in a row and was getting a bit fed up so decided to go for something a little different. I started Powerless this morning which I’m really looking forward to as I’m desperate to find out Jasper’s backstory.

For those considering a long trip to 66Book Club. When I went last April I bought 24ish books, RRP £240ish, I could have gotten them on Amazon for £150ish and I paid £75ish. SO yes, a saving but only because I live about 40mins away, I wasn’t even planning on going that day just kept seeing that there was no queue all day so decided at 11am I’d go and have a nose. If you’re travelling a long way with petrol prices and potentially overnight stays etc it really may not be worth your while.

Do you guys read a series straight through or mix up other books in between?
Depends on the series.

I have read Strike in real time as she released them. But when I have reread I have mixed books inbetween.

Other series that I have come to and there are 6-10 books (or even more) already released I read 1/2 books at a time then mix it up for a few books and then go back to it. I do it this way because if an inbetween book is a bit blah I know I have a book to look forward coming up.

Yeah it's Strike I'm reading atm. I've made myself read another book in between but all I really want to do is dive back into Cormoran's world!

I found them very easy reads despite their length. I remember blithely ordering them all from the library, then a few arriving for collection. I made the librarian's day with her cackling at the look on my face when I picked up the tomes that were 3 or 4 of the books. 😳😬😩

Haha especially the last 4 they are like bricks. I was so lucky I found the whole series bar one in a chazza, the missing book I bought from Ebay!

What's everyone's opinion on Where The Crawdads Sing? Been trying to get into it for a few days but just not finding myself wanting to pick it up.

IIRC it divided opinion on here! I enjoyed it but others didn’t.
