I like the look of these 3 too.

I’m sitting waiting to get my hair coloured so I’ve got Apprentice to the Villain with me while I wait
I'm intrigued to know how The Apprentice to the Villain is, it sounds like something I would enjoy.

Just to say the David Hunter book recommended on the last thread is part of a series and they are all available as part of the audible catalogue. Just added them all to my library.

Prep must be having a moment cos I read it this month too! I also enjoyed it but I think I’d struggle to say exactly why. There’s so little plot that it’s hard to describe, but I was fully invested in the characters and Lee’s journey through Ault.
I bought it as a kindle daily deal so maybe that’s why 😂

Decided I needed some extra light reading so i picked up Sarah Morgan the Christmas Book Club. Now i read quite a lot of fluff - jenny colgan, sophie kinsella etc but this is absolute dirge. I can finish a Lucinda Reilly or Karen Swan in a day or two but i keep carrying this around then i just can’t be arsed opening it 🙈
Oh I enjoyed that one last year

Here are the books that I read in November and I have to say it was a good reading month for me as I didn't hate any of the books that I read.

I've finished it now. I've been on a marathon read this last 3 weeks to get through the books from the library. Some recommended, and some chosen from the ones they torment you with on the front of the library page. I think I chose this one from the library page, thinking it sounded interesting and the book looked a bit anonymous, so I'd be safe in that no one else would be reading it. Wrong!!!!! I couldn't renew it as there's a bloomin' queue for it and all the others I'd taken out, and as you know from previous posts they all arrived at once at the library, rather than in the usual dribs and drabs.
So I have a new resolution now (yes I know it's not January yet!) I'm not allowing myself to have a lot of books on hold from now on. I'll be reading all the books I've bought on Tattle recommendation, and those I've bought from World of Books and Amazon, after being told you can get books you couldn't afford when you were younger, so I'll read that pile too.
Then hopefully I can return to the ladylike person I used to be rather than the tired, jumpy nutcase I'm presenting as at the moment, putting my foot in it left, right and centre as I don't appear to have any filter at the moment.
But getting back to the book I found it a lovely calming read which flowed easily so it's not been a chore to read. Just the kind of book I need at this time of year. 😁
I think the majority of books that have been recommended to you have come from me.

Also, just throwing it out there but Per Jacobsen's Strung trilogy are on KU if anyone wanted to read further. I think his 'regular' books are better well-received than 25 Days.
I’ve had the first Strung one on and off my kindle for ages. I keep getting on KU, not reading it, returning it for something else and then cycling through again.

I'm not sure when the official email comes out. But you can get your year in books at any time by going to a previous year and changing the year in the url. So change 2023s to 2024 and voila.
That's brilliant!! Thank you
