Is anyone having issues with goodreads? My reading challenge isnt updating for the last few months after i mark a book as "read". I am so fed up with it i have uninstalled it and re-installed but nothing is working.

I really want to start reading more on my Kindle - it’s just so much more convenient and often cheaper (although i do buy books from charity shops, when there’s a title i really want it’s inevitably cheaper on Kindle) - but I struggle with reading from a screen. I much prefer having a book i can pick up and set down and the Kindle just isn’t the same. It’s mainly the first few chapters i have to force myself through then i kind of forget i’m reading on a screen. I suppose i’m looking for tips on how to break through this? I really want to read Rivals after watching the TV show, and I have a few Lucinda Reillys i want to read, that are just just sitting on my kindle unopened. Does anyone else have this mental block about reading a book that’s not on paper?

Anyone who has used the KU 99p 3 month deal, when you went to authorise the payment did it still say £28.odd ? I just went to get it but I wouldn’t pay for KU at normal price as I use my library.

I wanted to ask - would people recommend Audible as the best audiobook subscription option? My sister is about to have a baby and she has been using my Spotify to listen to a childbirth related audiobook. I hadn't realised until she asked that you get some free audiobook hours with the Premium Spotify membership! So I'm thinking of getting her an audiobook subscription as a present.

I use BorrowBox but the availability can get annoying. It works for me because I supplement with library books/podcasts when there's nothing available on there, and my intention of getting her an subscription is to help her access more that she wants, without needing to leave the house. Spotify seems quite expensive - you only get like 12 hours a month with Premium membership and the audiobooks seem at a cursory glance more expensive than Audible, with all it's special offers etc.

Anything else I should consider?!
