Called in to Harrogate today and decided to go in the amazing bookshop you're all obsessing about. Didn't stay long as it was full of prams, dogs and people so I wasn't really able to browse. Seemed a nice shop, though and the stock looked interesting, but I wasn't able to really stop and look without blocking a gangway.
Think I'll try in the warmer weather when I've less bulky clothing on.
Assistant seemed to be straightening the books as they got whacked out of line by people's coats (including mine🤭).

I keep seeing one particular booktocker raving about how amazing this book is. I then realised she is the author! It really put me off reading it as she keeps plugging it without saying she is the author.

I struggle too but the other week I listened to The Sh!te Before Christmas, I don’t know if it’s because it was read by the author herself but I really enjoyed it and my mind didn’t really wander off.

Yes funny you should mention that. I have listened to all of her books on audio. Maybe I will go on borrowbox and see if I can get it. Thank you!

If you add the date manually it works fine. I always mark it as read and then include the dates. I'm not that organised to mark books as currently reading 🤣

I read ‘if this was a movie’ and the MMC had a five year old daughter. She was speaking like she was 20, reallyyyy annoyed me 😂

Yes I agree more questions than answers. Like did Bill's wife report him missing? Also i'm not sure how big the fire was but if it was big enough that Chloe had smoke posioning why didnt it alert someone. A building on fire on a mountain would surely be visible?

I really loved Weyward, it took me a while to get into but then I couldn't put it down

@anniemouse if you are looking for a book to read I would recommed Bella's Christmas Bake Off by Sue Watson as I am reading it at the moment and thoroughly enjoying it. This is what the book is about:

I don’t like watching films I’m just not a film person! But this made me stop what I was doing and watch. Asked my husband to pause it so we could watch it properly in the evening! I definitely recommend. But then I haven’t read the book. I’m going to though!

I've not heard of that one, but I remember reading "Come Together" mentioned there back in the 90s!
