StoryGraph definitely upped my actual reading too - a couple of Januarys ago they had a read everyday of the month challenge and the gamification of logging pages everyday/seeing them in a graph really got my reading more!

Yes, same, though I still have a book I logged back then which I haven't finished and now feel like I need to finish before the end of the year

I finished The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah last night. It is a definite 5 stars from me. I enjoyed it so much. I rarely cry when reading but the ending was so emotional it did make me tear up. I am also a few days behind on 25 Days as I found The Nightingale so engrossing.

We only have seven more days, we have come this far, we can hold out!
So, Chloe getting out of the room appears to have brought all three of them back together. Realistically Chloe wouldn't have survived going out of the building alone anyway.
But given it seems like this was a workplace, albeit a radio station, maybe they aren't that far from civilisation? Or perhaps there is some piece of equipment there that they can find eventually and communicate with the outside world?
Is Adam going to be able to drag himself to this building? Will he even know his family are inside just because snowmobile keeps coming and going from there?
This snowmobile person seems so well equipped for this. Did they know a family was coming to the cabin for the week? Did they know it was this family?
How is Bill?

Just finished a Christmas book that I really enjoyed. Not the usual expected ending either.
I'm glad you enjoyed it @Chocolategoggler as I just couldn't get into it which is a shame as I have enjoyed 2 other books that I have read of hers.

Given this building used to be a workplace maybe someone unconnected to everything so far will turn up to do sonething and discover this situation.

I’m the same! I’m so excited when I get a chance to sit and read the next chapter. It’s the highlight of my day some days! I think we need a book like this every month!!
My heart broke when Beth realised the ‘bites’ were from a tranquilliser gun. All that effort all for nothing. I really hope the guy doesn’t take it all out on the girls even more than he already has.
Also, I reckon Bill has to be dead now.

Ohhhh it feels like one step forward, two steps back, all the time with these characters 
Can someone more observant tell me what year the book is set in? I’m guessing the notice board having a flyer from 1985 was supposed to have significance i.e., this place has been abandoned for many many years

I know some here have read My Dark Vanessa - is it suitable for a book club?
It’s a while since I read it but I think it depends on what sort of vibe your book club has. If you’re after something that’s going to be enjoyed by the majority probably not, if you’re after something that’s challenging and you can get into and have some meaty discussions about then possibly.
It comes laiden with trigger warnings for things like SA, child abuse, suicide, amongst others. It might be worth checking with other members of your group what they’re up for if you don’t know already. It’s definitely not for everyone!
Thank you that’s very helpful. A few weeks back someone very kindly put a list of good book club choices but i didn’t make a note and now I can’t find it
