I finished with some clues from Twitter, but I think the barbershop quartet one is awful - for one, it's the name of a series, not a single book.
I would never have got that if it wasn't for the hints circulating online.

It is an Arthur Conan Doyle but not that book. Think of another word for red and what the room is…
thanks for that. havent seen or started it yet but yougave me one correct answer. Of course an author I follow smugly posted she got them all right . You can go off a person. LOL

Mind you i have kinda done that since she made a huge thing at one of her book launhes about who she was vegan and now posts meat, cheese, oysters and all kinds on her socials without even a mention of why shes no longer vegan

Start with the vampire 🧛
what the hell is the ghost? I typed Sheets , Blankets and Ghosted..

Yeh I got it in the end, thought I'd be something more exciting lol. Gave up anyway I don't think I actually know enough book titles to do it 🤣
i know i tried with one that wasnt the obvious but apparently it was.

my problem is i think i know too many books cos i am trying to be smart and clever like typing Even Cowgirls Get the Blues for the cowgirls.. - still dk what that is

IIRC the ghost one has ghost in the title and one other word. Opposite of exit.

The cowgirls is say what you see but instead of cow girls think of the music genre, also beginning with c.

They belong to the Ladderless Window Company (from a children's book from the 80s, probably the most popular children's author in the UK?)

Also not a flamingo:

NOT WELL! it’s even more difficult than last year.

i’ve desperately written “hound of the baskervilles” for the little guy in the red room about a billion times. it’s still wrong 🤣
Hahaha Same.. I’ve tried many variations of it too 😂

I’ve got 5 so far. Never played before

I knew this one was a Sherlock Holmes but have never read any so had to do a quick search to find a title that might fit!

I’ve finally finished too but at least 1/3 were via clues from other people. I regret nothing!

Has anyone here read Somebodys Daughter by Ashley C Ford? Its a memoir everyone seems to rave about that I bought ages ago on Kindle. I'm just getting round to reading it and it's so boring. It's meant to be about her father coming out of prison after 20 years but it just doesn't seem to have much to say.. I picked it out cos its short and I want to hit my reading target but i'm wondering if I should just DNF

Try: The G and the P and Me - its so fussy with capitalisations/the/ands being in the right place. I had a similar issue with the title relating to the soldier

Still enjoying the Boris book. I'm about half way through now and thought I'd treat you to an excerpt about the Queen. As he says HM was made of sterner stuff and not an a licker like the politicians:
