I think it is a satirical novella !it honestly sounds like a parody or spoof title
The straight up podcast did a call out this week for positive book Recs i.e summer reads that don’t have a triggering plot line/ focus on mental health/ abuse / murder etc. Thought it was I interesting.
Anyone got any recs? I was thinking Jonathan coe - ‘what a carve up’ and ‘middle England’ i liked. I’m sure they had some mildly triggering elements but mostly posh family drama which I enjoyed.
It’s quite hard to come up with them though.

Of things I’ve read recently Tom Lake by Ann Patchett probably works, and Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby van Pelt? Both have some elements of challenge the characters face but nothing that’s particularly explicit or confrontational I don’t think.
I really liked Clickbait, wasn't sure about the writing style at first but soon got used to it

I have read 2 of Milly Johnson's books and enjoyed both of them and I definitely need to read another one of hers soon. Apart from her new release the Happiest Ever After which is the one that you are currently reading Chocolategoggler I have all of her other books on my shelf.I'm currently racing through The Happiest Ever After by Milly Johnson.

My first post here, but I just had to show off my charity shop finds from today after reading the chat a few days ago. All 3 for £1! I’m so excited to see if they’re as good as I thought they were in the 90s
