My July reads! A fairly quiet month reading wise and all pretty average with no stand out reads for me. Hoping to get more in this month!

The first 1/3rd of the book was really tough that was the child violence story it alluded too CSA but without it being to much, after that it became more of a revenge book and graphic but it drew you in, by the end I was truly hooked.

It told an important story though I think, it is saving Noah extreme version!

I thought the writing was beautiful but I like her writing usually. Its definitely slow and meandering. Like taking a journey along the coast for the views when a direct route would get you there much quicker.

My preorder of the paperback of The Will of the Many has been cancelled on Amazon due to "lack of availability" 😭 Does that mean it won't be published in paperback here at all, as surely if anyone can get it, Amazon can?

When did it say it was going to be released when you ordered it?
I think it was originally July but now Feb - perhaps the Feb one has a different listing/ISBN. I can still see it as Feb on Waterstones.

Also on the subject of The Will of the Many, just had a look at James Islington's website for his last update, from June. Book has gone in for edits, tentatively hoping for a release sometime in 2025. About 15k words longer than the first book.

good month for me 😍 a lot of audio as I just haven’t been able to sit and read. Enjoyed them all except The Reappearance of Rachel Price 🥱🥱🥱
Still haven’t finished bloody Powerless 🤣

I love it usually! My favourite trope 😁

I just finished Fourth Wing the other day and Iron Flame is on my shelf looking at me but I'm wondering do I go read that straight away and then have a gap before book 3 comes out in Jan/Feb, or shall I delay reading Iron Flame for a few weeks/months and enjoy it nearer to the release of Book 3? I can't stop thinking about Fourth Wing, I actually think I enjoyed it more than ACOMAF, which I read last month and loved.

Books that I want to read this month:

Iron Flame (or do I save it for a bit later?)
A Court of Wings and Ruin
The Murder Game
The Suspect
Powerless (Lauren Roberts)
The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox
Vox

And if I finish those, maybe PD James Cover Her Face and Anne Bronte Agnes Grey. A the moment I seem to be consuming a book diet of murder mysteries, dystopian, and fantasy 😅
